2. INTRODUCTION
BAILOR: The person delivering the goods is called bailor.
BAILEE: The person to whom these goods are being delivered is called
bailee.
Example:
‘A’ delivers a piece of cloth to ‘B’ , a tailor to be stitched into a suit.
The duties of bailor are the rights of bailee.
The bailee can ,by suit , enforce the duties of the bailor.

3. RIGHTS OF BAILEE
Delivery of goods to one of several joint bailors of goods.
Delivery of goods to bailor without title.
Right to apply to court to stop delivery.
Right of action against trespassers.
Bailee’s lien.
4. DUTIES OF THE BAILOR(Rights of the
bailee)
To be acquainted of the faults of the goods bailed ( as it is the
duty of the bailor to disclose all the known faults.)
To claim the extraordinary expenses of bailment.
To claim compensation for loss in case of premature
termination of gratuitous bailment.
To claim necessary compensation in case the title of the
goods is defective and the bailee suffers a loss as a
consequence.
