Richard Puschel has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement including serving as a police lieutenant for the Union County Police Department from 1982 to 2014. He supervised various units including the bomb squad and was trained in explosives investigation and hazardous device handling. Puschel has trained law enforcement across the state and country in explosives recognition and response. He also served as a councilman for Linden, New Jersey from 2008 to 2011.

In 1988 attended the Hazardous Devices School, Huntsville Alabama and was trained to be a
bomb technician.

Transferred to the traffic bureau 1992 to supervisor and assist in training personnel in emergency
responses and traffic enforcement.
Implemented infrastructure protection programs throughout Union County. (ie: Conoco Phillips
refinery).
Work with the F.B.I, ATF&E,Federal Air Marshalls, TSA and D.H.S. to train and make proficient
law enforcement within Union County and through the state in IED/explosive recognition
An elected member and Chairman of Communications for the National Bomb Squad Commanders
Advisory Board (NBSCAB) and given the honor to represent bomb squads from Maine to West
Virginia. (2000-2010).
2. Help to establish through NBSCAB,training for first responders in the United States to effectively
respond to suicide bombers and Large Vehicle IED’s.
Make recommendations to our I.P team, which is made up of Federal agencies to get funding for
research and development of standards for all equipment utilized by civilian bomb squads
throughout the United States.
