This document discusses the RFID from Farm to Fork (F2F) project funded by the EU to demonstrate full food traceability from producer to consumer using RFID technology. The project included 12 pilots across Europe tracking various food products along the supply chain. One pilot in Slovenia demonstrated traceability of fish from farm to market to consumer within one day using RFID tags and readers. The pilot provided consumers information about the origin, age, and transport temperature of their fish. The project aims to evaluate the benefits of RFID traceability for small and medium enterprises and increase promotion of linking it to food composition data.
