Points to be
taken care of
while
introducing a
reward
system:
 Make the employees feel that they are given importance and we are
trying to improve their skills and working conditions. (Hawthorne
experiment?)
 Convey the reward system to employees and why they got the
reward, let them know that it is not an incentive, or else they will start
asking it as their right.
 People should be rewarded based on a measurable aspect
(production).
 Take care of generation (gen x, gen y or baby boomers) while giving
rewards.
 Some employees may stop giving results after achieving some
rewards.They think their turn is over.
 Don’t make them feel it like “their turn contest”.
