I retired in March 2018 after over 30 years as a
solicitor in a city law firm, 28 of those as a partner.
When I left the firm I moved from a full time,
demanding, leadership role to working part time on
a range of things including running training courses
and undertaking non executive roles.
I understand the nervousness many people feel
when considering leaving a senior role and how this
can lead to the decision being put off.
My own experience was a very positive one. I can
bring to those considering retirement a perspective
based on real and recent experience.
