This document provides guidance on retaining students from the admissions process through the start and duration of their academic program. It emphasizes maintaining regular contact with students, taking detailed notes during interactions, and conducting "temperature checks" to encourage commitment and excitement. Contact should occur at least weekly before classes start and then multiple times per week during the first few weeks of the program. The purpose is to address any questions, issues, assignment progress, grades, and how the class is going. Notes from each interaction should be documented.

5. Contact Before Start Must attempt to contact at least once every week before classes start. Use the admissions process as topics of discussion, such as: Orientation, VIPS Workshop, Books, Classes Scheduled, WTC, FA (Docs), Acceptance, Referrals

6. On the BACK Side What to “check-in” about: Questions/ concerns/ issues in general Assignment due dates/ are they done? Grades (assignments/assessments/overall) Temperature Check (how is class going?) Referrals *Always refer to or confirm details of the previous conversation. ** No V2V = LM or send email

7. Contact After Start Week 1 – Everyday 12 week: (W, Th, F) 6 week: (M, T, W, Th, F) Week 2 – Every Other Day (M, W, F) Week 3 – Twice (T, Th) or (M, F) etc… Week 4 – Once Week 5 on – as needed for attendance (check Daily LDA Report) or per student request
