The Extended Play (EP) Album
An EP is an album that plays for no longer than 30 minutes. The album also contains no more than six tracks
between two minutes - three and a half minutes each (Woodcock, 2018). Intrinsically Intertwined is made
up of five songs. Although some of the tracks are songs that are longer than four minutes, the total runtime
of the album is under 20 minutes (Fishbone, 2014).
3. The Off-Season - J. Cole The Off-Season Tracklist
The Long Play (LP) Album
An LP is a full-length album that runs for 30 minutes or longer; the recording typically consists of
an average of 10-12 songs (Johnson, 2021). J. Cole's Off-Season is a 39 minutes and 8 seconds
album with 12 tracks (Cole, 2021).

1. Does Hippo Records offer consignment to indie
artists?
Yes, Hippo Records offers consignment to indie artists.
They will take 2-3 physical albums from an indie artist to sell on their
behave.
It has been a while since marketing reps have visited Hippo Records, mainly because of
Covid. Before Covid, independent labels would visit the store at least twice a year.

focused on deliver the products instead

8. Promo
Hippo Records does not have any
current promo items. I did find promo flyers
from 2020 for two local indie artists.

9. Reflection
Hippo Records targets individuals that listen to pop and rock
music. I would use the store for the following situations album
releases for local indie artists or bands within the rock and
acoustic pop genres.
I would host an in-store listening party where the musicians
play snippets of each song on the album and discuss the
creative process behind each track.
Before the album release, I would provide Hippo. Records with
promotional items to display in the store and swag items to
give to customers.
I would schedule live performances and meet and greets
where the artist would autograph merchandise. Hippo Records Performance area
