Objective

· I currently work in a level Three Neonatal ICU and a Pediatric ICU. I attend deliveries of pre-term infants as
well as any infant that may have any issues that will need medical attention. I assess the need for any
Respiratory intervention including intubation and mechanical ventilation. I continue to care for and manage
the respiratory needs of any patient we bring back to the Neonatal ICU. I also respond to pediatric traumas in
the Emergency Center to assess the Respiratory needs of injured children. I continue to assess and manage
the Respiratory needs of any children that are admitted to the pediatric ICU or the pediatric in-patient floor of
the hospital. I troubleshoot any issues we my have with any respiratory equipment to make sure everything
is working properly and safely for the most precious of patients. I am also apart of a Neonatal Transport
Team. We pick up infants from smaller hospitals that may not be equipped to take care of the infants special
medical needs. We also deliver infants to more specialized hospitals when we have a patient that needs more
specialized treatment we are not equipped to provide.

section deliveries as well as any vaginal deliveries where the infant may need respiratory support. I "catch"
the infant and bring him/her to the warmer where I assess the need for respiratory support. I obtain Arterial
blood gases on infants as well as adults and respond to rapid response calls.

As a registered respiratory therapist in the "float pool" I worked in three different hospitals in the Virginia Beach
and Norfolk areas. My base hospital was Sentara Princess Anne in Virginia Beach where I worked in the
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as well as the Adult Intensive Care Unit. I performed intubations, arterial blood
gases, and managed mechanical ventilation to neonates as well as adults. I also worked in the Cardiac
Intensive Care Units at Norfolk General Hospital managing the mechanical ventilation of patients who have
undergone open heart surgery.

well. I worked in the Emergency Center, Intensive Care Unit and responded to any respiratory needs in Labor
and Delivery. I performed my first adult and infant intubations at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
SUMMERY
I am a hard working individual who learns fast and retains information well. I am very interested in helping
healthcare workers learn the Epic Charting System and teaching them why it is the best Medical Charting
System on the market. I am energetic and willing to travel.
