Aim: To develop Single Stage Pulse Tube Cryocooler with Multi-bypass Configuration
 Undertook an exhaustive literature review on Multi-bypass PTC (MBPTC)
 Developed MATLAB Algorithm for Mathematical model of MBPTC configuration
 Developing a better design for MBPTC using SAGE software
 Future Work involves Fabrication and testing of MBPTC with model simulations
WASTE HEAT RECOVERY FROM STEAM CONDENSER IN RELIANCE DAHANU
THERMAL POWER STATION (DTPS) [Jun’13-May’14]
[Guide: Prof. P.K. Muley, SPCE, Mumbai] [B.Tech Project]
Aim: To device a waste heat recovery solution for Reliance DTPS of capacity 500 MW
 Proposed a model of waste heat recovery using HDH desalination system to DTPS authorities
 Proposed a solution which allows DTPS to stay under the pollution norms of MPCB (40C) by
reducing condenser water temperature by 2.2C
 Improved thermal efficiency of DTPS by recovering energy equivalent to 0.016 Kg/s of coal.
 Demineralized water of 3.138 Kg/s is produced to serve for various purpose in DTPS
