Project title: ECG monitoring using VISUAL BASIC (BM 3rd
year)

Objectives :
a. Monitor ECG (electrocardiogram) signal on VISUAL BASIC
b. Calculate the heart rate corresponding to the input signal
Overview:
The software is based on 2 parts design. One, for getting & processing
the ECG signal & the Second board implemented with PIC 16F877A as a
microcontroller board then, the signal transmitted will be developed
using Visual Basic language to be viewed as a waveform chart. Well, in
the hardware part we will preview the waveform chart of the input

signal & compute the heart rate that represents the number of pulses
during one minute, during program execution using VB language.
Project Title: A mathematical model of human eye movement (BM 4th
year)
Presented to : Dr. Ali Cherri
Overview: Developing eye plant model by representing eye elements with
the equivalent elements, by the application of the rotational version of
Newton’s second, also taking into consideration Force-length relationship,
Force-velocity relationship, and Neural activation process.
Assumptions: This model fits only the horizontal movement of the eye. The
eye is considered as a solid (not semi solid) of density ρ and radius r. The
agonist and antagonist muscles are assumed to be identical. Both muscles
are assumed to have the same mass M.

year)

Overview: Maintenance Task Description
Discussion with the end users. Physical instrumentation check and
technical alarms recorded in history log error, Verification of medical gas
pressures, Checking anaesthetic agent level and expiration date,
Checking maximum flows, Alarm and security .

Overview : Every medical device need to be declared as safe, before it
can be marketed. To make sure of its safety, FDA recommend
performing several tests by following a developed strategy. According to

the obtained results, the substance of interest will be classified as
mutagen or not.
Project title: Pattern recognition Presentation (BM 5th
year)

Overview :
The purpose of recognition is to classify objects based on their
characteristics in classes whose members have the same characteristics.
The idea of our project is to classify objects (bottles) according to their
size. In our project we took two bottles of dimensions, wide and thin,
then the average was calculated from the perimeter in order to classify
the unknown data. In order to accomplish the project idea, we chose to
work with naive Bayes. The advantage of the naive Bayesian classifier is
that demand relatively little training data to estimate the parameters
needed to classify, namely means and variances of the variables.
Final Project title: Smart Measuring Cup (BM 5th
year)

Overview: Smart Measuring Cup used to measure the level of
dehydration in the elderly. Identify the risk of dehydration in the elderly
living alone and causing several incidents of deaths annually.
Continuously measure the water level and transmit it to a computer
system via the RF transmitter. Finally, the software will analyze on a
daily basis if the water inlet portion is sufficient, and it will issue a
warning via SMS to parents / Doctors.
