CAPSTONE DESIGN PROJECT
My project team member and I composed a PLC a program, utilizing ladder logic(LAD) to govern a water
purification process using the Allen Bradley Logix 5555 Controller. We developed a schedule of each phase
of the project utilizing Microsoft Project software. Produced an effective written proposal and oral
presentation.

- As an EPCC operator, it was necessary to be familiar with normal operating parameters for the ships
GTGs
(gas turbine generator), which provided the ship with electrical power. Most importantly, equipment casualty
procedures were committed to memory in the event of a generator shutdown or unsafe operating condition
to ensure the ship could sustain power to continue its mission.
- Received Letter of Commendation from the carrier strike group commander resulting from successful
efforts as an EPCC operator.
