year programme of work for Rolls-Royce.

 Provide reporting capabilities which include detailed audit traceability and projective
milestone dates for decommissioning of application services including; monthly
projections and burn down charts, financial variance reporting, service charging reports,
re-use, disconnected, decommissioned and disposal reports as well as end-to-end
traceability reporting which provides a detailed status of every in-scope server and data
source as it passes through the decommissioning process.
 Development and implementation of Decommissioning Standards in line with the client’s
data classification, secure processing and transportation requirements as well as
complete management of the associated process and audit trail.
 Resource management of the DDT Decommissioning Team including Cost and
Resource modelling against the project deliverables, timelines and budget.
Achievements:  Successfully developed, implemented and gained approval for a new standardised
process for server based equipment decommissioning which adheres to all data
classification, transportation and processing requirements.
 Developed a reporting capability to provide full traceability for server and data source
equipment, while reporting against predictive cost benefits, key milestones, and
auditability of all in-scope equipment for decommissioning.
 Agreement and acceptance of a non-standard approval process through change
management which allows the expeditious decommissioning of servers as they become
available to the DDT project post migration.

 Manage all aspects of the projects delivery milestones, including the Rolls Royce quality
gates and HP PRIP, ensuring compliance with existing governance processes and
procedures.
 Management of the programmes financial and reporting requirements including project
cost projections, measurement, tracking and reporting. Implementation of risk
identification, analysis and mitigation strategies ensuring financial controls, processes
and procedures are adhered.
 Identification and management of recruiting requirements across the programme work

Achievements:  Successful delivery of two enterprise data centres operating as a resilient pair, providing

support live, business critical Rolls-Royce application services.

 Early delivery of a limited (tactical) solution in conjunction with 3rd party providers to

mainframe services as part of a high profile, enterprise data centre migration.
 Management of a dedicated delivery team including; scheduling and resource allocation,
engagement and co-ordination of key business and technical requirements, scoping

Achievements:  Demonstrated delivery of an automated capability to deploy COTS application services

 Architecting and implementation of a multi-staged midrange and mainframe data centre
migration strategy, relocating the ATO’s live application business services while managing
the projects key deliverables through to succession; including both business and technical
requirements, allocation of key resources, scoping and scaling capacity and performance
requirements, defining test plans and monitoring the project milestones in line with the
functional deliverables.

for release into the production environment. More specifically, the role requires
significant product knowledge and expertise in the areas of .Net web based application
services, cross platform application integration, data analysis, transformation and
reporting services. Customer relationship management systems, document and content
management systems, database systems, reporting services, business integration
messaging technologies, and also requires an in-depth knowledge of underlying
enterprise wide, highly redundant, high availability infrastructure technologies.
Achievements:  Development of an interactive process model, representing application integration,
middleware object classification, authentication, workflow and data transformation
processes, web and database services, allowing the end user to trace cross platform
application integration workflow processes across both midrange and mainframe
environments.
 Developed a centralised reporting and management solution to ascertain application
services installed across an enterprise wide environment. Analysis of version information

across database, registry and file system services. Operational reporting and centralised
control of critical business systems across domain boundaries.
 Automate batch selection and extraction of datasets, implement data analysis and
conversion process, producing both PDF and PostScript data formats.
 Implement an automated time shift solution, allowing application developers to perform
functional testing under specific user credentials, without impacting other application
services running on the same server or environment.

 Manage the day to day operations of the ATO’s business critical production financial
management services within a large scale enterprise data centre. Provide a key
leadership role in the areas of program management, release management, project
management and workforce management for the highly publicised Change Program,
which represents the largest IT initiative undertaken by the Australian Taxation Office.
 Provide specialist technical advice to key application stakeholders across a broad range
of business critical application services, including Siebel Customer Relationship
Management System, Mainframe Data Extraction (ETL) Processing, Enterprise Content
and Document Management Systems, Database and Data Warehousing, WebSphere
MQ, Cognos and I&AM.
 Manage the release of complex, high profile projects for the application delivery unit, while
working within tight deadlines and with limited resources, ensuring data integrity
standards are maintained, service disruptions are minimised and recovery strategies
remain uncompromised.
 Co-ordinate project, release, configuration and change management activities throughout
the project life cycle in line with the ITIL framework.
 Manage technical resources and deployment activities during production go-live and
provide specialist application support services to both the technical and business
verification teams.
 Advise application stakeholders, including the Commissioner for Taxation on issues of
client service operations, technical and business improvement processes, reporting
services and risk mitigation strategies, while representing EDS across a broad spectrum
of business interests.
Achievements:  Managed the successful implementation of the highly publicised Change Program, which
to date is the largest IT initiative undertaken by the Australian Taxation Office. Designed
to integrate over 600 disparate legacy business systems into a single view of accounts
for ATO employees, the rollout of this complex and ambitious program has been staged
over 3 major releases, encompassing both midrange and mainframe environments, while
utilising COTS application services, open messaging standards and enterprise database
systems.

 The role required the delivery of two core project based deliverables, the first of which
was to project manage the design and architecture, cross-platform integration, product
test and delivery a new level 4 environment, providing an urgently required emergency

EFIX environment for the ATO’s external web based business and financial management
services (ABR, Portal, Excise).
 The second project requirement was to review, re-architect and deliver an extensive
monitoring solution based on Microsoft Operations Manager utilising a multi-tiered,
priority based architecture, monitoring web, application, database, middleware and
infrastructure services.
 In both instances the requirements for each project deliverable required the identification
of functional business requirements, establishment of process methodologies, time
phased cost/integration schedules, release plans and status reports as well as critical
path method schedules, cross-platform integration planning, functional design and project
workflow diagrams. Implementation and review of risk assessment and management
strategies, project planning schedules and tracking methodologies.
Achievements:  Delivery of a new EFIX level 4 environment including underlying infrastructure
requirements within both a WinTEL and Mainframe environment. Provision of data
recovery services, high availability Storage Area Network, Clustering, Network Load
Balancing, and hardware redundant technologies. Delivery of all related middleware,
web, database, security and application services including SQL 2000, DB2 UDB, F5 Load
Balancing, MS Clustering, Internet Information Services, WebSphere MQ Message
Broker, Configuration Manager, Queue Manager and MQ Clustering services, Security
Proxy services, MS Host Integration Services as well as an extensive suite of in-house
business critical application services.
 Functional and extensible re-design of the ATO’s core monitoring and reporting tool
based on Microsoft Operations Manager, enabling monitoring staff to respond to business
critical failures in a timely manner, while alerting key business lines of impending
operational concerns. This design also allowed key stakeholders to pro-actively manage
application availability, while addressing service failures in line with knowledge base
procedural recovery standards.

  • 2. 2 Title: Exit and Transition Lead Team: Exit and Transition Dates: February 2015 – December 2015 Status: Contractor Employer: HP Enterprise - (DWP Account) Contract Deliverables:  Lead role in all aspects of the in-flight Exit and Transition Play Programme including Data Discovery (Storage, Network, CMDB), Output Print Exit and Hosting Services.  Responsible for the development and introduction of new Exit and Transition templates, reporting and commercial standards, communications and 3rd party engagement, document repository and security methodologies and governance processes which have been adopted and utilised across the Exit and Transition Programme.  Day-to-day management of the Exit and Transition Programme including reporting, communications, client and 3rd party face-off, software licence, maintenance and intellectual property, commercials and contract management, governance gates, project exit and transition plans, cost and resource models, project initiation documentation, design requirements, handover and decommissioning plans. Title: Programme Implementation / Deployment Manager Team: BORON IT Separation Project Dates: August 2014 – December 2014 Status: Contractor Employer: HP Enterprise Services UK - (Rolls Royce Account) Contract Deliverables:  Play a lead programme role in managing the IT separation of over 120 applications across four continents (Europe, Americas, AsiaPac) including middleware, mainframe, site and network infrastructure, client migrations, security, data migration, treatment and rebranding requirements for the sale of the Rolls-Royce ENERGY business to Siemens - ADGT. The project required extended working hours and was delivered utilising a dedicated, agile multi-vendor delivery capability over a 3 month IT separation window which also included Change, Release, Data Governance, Incident, Tech Office, IT Security, Licence Management and Service Transition stakeholders.  Co-ordinate the planning, scheduling, reporting, release, stakeholder communication and delivery management for all aspects of the BORON project. Achievements:  Successfully co-ordinated and managed the separation and migration of over 120 ENERGY based applications including the supporting infrastructure, security services, licence management, midrange and mainframe dependencies including SAP, PLM, Maximo, RCI, Siebel CRM, HPC Migrations, supporting Oracle databases, Flexnet Licence Management services and GAD Client Migrations,. Title: Programme Manager / Systems Integrator Team: Customer and Services Programme Dates: August 2012 – Current Status: Contractor Employer: HP Enterprise Services UK - (Rolls Royce Account) Contract Deliverables:  Delivery of a phased approach to Systems Integration including the implementation of an SI framework model, identification of SI accelerator opportunities, Commercial, contractual and delivery management of 3rd party vendor’s. Delivery of an offshore development, testing and delivery model while leveraging from HP’s global service capabilities across a three year programme spanning the scope of Rolls-Royce’s cross- sector business services including Aerospace (Commercial & Defence), Energy, Marine and Nuclear business sectors.
