WORK EXPERIENCE
As engineer for GM, traveled to various GM facilities throughout the U.S. & Canada. Designed
the rear axle housing for the Chevrolet Vega, and purchased (supervised the installation) of the
FCAW equipment to manufacture it. 1966-1972
As TECHINICAL REPRESENTATIVE for THE LINCOLN ELECTRIC COMPANY (Cleveland, Ohio)
I workedin Ohio,Virginia,DC, Maryland and NYinnovating field methods of automating FCAW.
Projects included the DC subway system and the J Edgar Hoover Building. I was also responsible
for all Lincoln dealers in the tri-state area. 1972-1976
As founder & President of INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY & HANDLING INC., (Matawan, NJ) , I
bought/sold/rebuiltindustrial machineryranging from presses,shears,brakes, dekle duplicators
and plate rollers to fork lift trucks and cranes. Customers included Westinghouse, Ingersol-
Rand, GE and Tiffany.

2. We also contracted our serviced to Stanley Lanes, PE (Matawan, NJ) and SI Dietz PA (John St.,
NYC) to investigate industrial losses(ClientsincludedBIC,Art Metal and Philips) around the U.S..
1977-1981
As founder/PresidentofPetrol Corp., I founded an Exxon Gas Station, Dr. Sparkplug Garage, and
the Dr. Sparkplug Dive Shop & Marina in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. We repaired cars, trucks,
boats and yachts and provided docking/liveaboard facilities along with teaching scuba diving
and taking dive trips. I am a certified SCUBA instructor/trainer and a USCG 100 ton Captain.
During that time I also wrote THE CAR OWNER’S BIBLE, which sold well in Universities and
libraries.
1981-2000
Started a one-on-one Travel Agency, 1 Dream Getaway, here in the NW Pacific Coast of Costa
Rica. While doing so, I fulfilled a life-long dream of designing/building the home/office from
which I write. We were an upscale custom travel service which was extremely successful until
the money went away in 2008.
2000-present
Although the years have passed since I worked as an engineer, I have long wished I could have
companies send me their products with “some assembly required” and ask me to write their
instructions. The poorly-translated INSTRUCTIONS that come enclosed could so easily be
transformed into something comprehensible to the consumer. I have also worked for brief
periodsin law offices,andunderstand that “legalese” isthere to create confusion and therefore
increase the billing hours---but the small print should also come with an English translation for
clients.
In my schooling, I was able to write programs in Fortran, Fortan IV, GE Basic and DOS. I also
played a role in the first process-control computer ever (Chevrolet Buffalo). I also had some
success writing HTML in the early years of the Internet. However my computer skills
disappeared when MS Front Page died. I do not have a Pod or a Pad or a Smart anything, and do
not profess computer skills. I am also not interested in becoming rich (again), but just want to
pay the bills. I have property and a small farm here in Costa Rica, and would like to find
employment/business where I could either work from here---or travel and return home. I am
5’10” and weigh 200 pounds with no diseases, ailments or medications.
I have been volunteering with three dog clinics around Costa Rica, and currently care for four
rescued German Shepherds for whom I provide a home and veterinary services. I have a

3. daughter, who is a Florida Neurologist, and her mother teaches medicine at the University of
Michigan. We have been friends for fifty years. I am honest, healthy, reliable, and have
experience in many areas that have taught life lessons not available in formal education. I am
also bilingual (English/Spanish) and occasionally work as a musician.
