Major responsibilities:
1. Monthly reporting / Financial Analysis
- Review initial cut of monthly accounts to identify material financial variances on monthly basis and
present the same in the form of performance summary to give a brief view to management about the
results (Bank, Domestic and International levels).
- Carry out detailed analysis on results to show how actual numbers reconcile with budgeted targets.
Coordinate with businesses / respective RMs to resolve issues, which have direct effect on Bank’s
profitability.
- Perform monthly analysis to identify the reasons for variation in Net Interest Income. Further, also
responsible to identify and report to management, accounts transferred to Memo.
- Review performance of individual businesses such as Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Branchless
Banking etc. and coordinate with respective businesses to understand the reasons for major upside
/downside in results.
- Region and Branch wise Loss Making Statements highlighting branches that are generating losses and
involvement in taking sufficient steps to improve branch profitability.
- Draft a summarized “BOD Commentary” for Board of Directors informing about the performance of
the Bank and major businesses.
- Preparing monthly summarized One-Pagers and Graphical Presentation for management,
highlighting major heads.
2. Budgeting / Forecasting
- Designing financial model used in budgeting/forecasting process alongwith making the model
compatible with management’s requirements for detailed review.
- Involvement in coordinating with various businesses to obtain justification / reasoning for material
variances in budget.
- Provide assistance in preparation of budget presentation for Board.
- Fully responsible to collect and review budgeted expenses of all departments of Head Office such as
Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource etc.
