                        AAA Express, California
Designer and Project Manager for the roll-out of a new retail branch concept
for the California State Automobile Association. Drawing on the success of
Banks locating small branches within Supermarkets AAA developed a brand
concept to locate small express branches offering insurance, travel and DMV
services. Looking to expand their market to a younger customer, I was
charged with creating an exciting, modern space utilizing conventional
materials. Focusing on color, shape and texture I invoked the feeling of
movement and energy. The sense of movement was enhanced by the use of
active media in the form of electronic displays, as well as the use of bold
graphic statements using applied vinyl graphics that can be easily changed to
                        reflect changing services.

                        California State Automobile Association, California:
Designer and Project Manager of branch office roll-out for CSAA’s Insurance,
Travel and Customer Service Centers. Designing for their conventional
branches, to be located as store-fronts in regional malls and urban shopping
zones, I developed a concept that organized the branch so that customers
would need to pass through a platform area of insurance and travel sales
leading to the customer service counter. The use of different materials, color,
varied ceiling heights and soffits helped define the zones within the branch.

MetroPCS, San Francisco Bay Area, California:
Designer and Project Manager for the planning and design of a retail store
roll-out for the cellular phone company. MetroPCS launched their services in
Northern California with a roll-out of 16 stores. Interested in a modular
concept to expedite the delivery of the stores I developed a prototypical
millwork package that was consistent for all locations enabling the client to
purchase the millwork in advance. This cut down on the lead time for custom
millwork reducing construction time for the stores enabling the client to bring
their product to market faster in the competitive cell phone industry.
