Projects
[1] UNDERSTANDING WIKIPEDIA August 2015 – Present
Developing Latent Semantic Analysis on a bunch of Big Data Sets to better
understand Wikipedia, how its search retrieval system works and how it can be
improved. How much documents are related to One another, how terms are
related to each documents. For this we are using Spark Frame Work along with
Scala API.
[2] Turning Tweets into some useful Data July 2015 – August 2015
We are using NLP to better understand and drive meaning from human language.
In these Text Analytics project, we are trying to understand sentiment of tweets
about Apple Company. This project is executed in R language.
[3] Movie Data and Clustering June 2015 – July 2015
In this project, we have used data from movielens.org a movie recommendation
website to perform Content Filtering using a technique call Clustering. Our
Challenge is to systematically find groups of movies with similar sets of genres.
We had done this with the help of hierarchal clustering and after that using this
Clustering we can recommend movies to users.
[4] Predicting the Quality of Wine May 2015
In this Project, we are using a linear regression approach to predict the quality of
wine. We have build a linear regression model to predict the price of Wine against
all other dependent variables. This project is executed in R language.
[5] Popularity of Music Records May 2015
Taking an analytics approach, we aim to use information about a song's properties
to predict its popularity. Since our Outcome Variable is Binary like 1 if the songs
make in the top 10 lists and 0 if it doesn't, we have build a logistic regression
model. Then we have built several logistic model including as well as removing
(multi-co-linearity data) through which we have made a prediction whether a song
will be in the top 10 or not.
