Microwave/Electromagnetics: Focus through university career and classes. Work experience
includes millimeter-wave radar to 325 GHz and high-power design, construction, and
testing of X-band radars.
Remote Sensing: Several years of millimeter-wave research experience which covers full
system design from quasi-optics lens design to RF generation and signal acquisition,
including digital down conversion techniques. Hardware design includes mixers,
multipliers, upconversion and down-conversion techniques up to 300 GHz.
Control Systems: Matlab numerical control of machining and radar positioning. Embedded
radar control systems built on reconfigurable logic.
Adaptive Signal Processing: Signal filtering and prediction.
Electromagnetic Modeling: Successful implementation of Finite-Element-Method, Finite
Difference Time-Domain, FFT based, and Multi-Level Fast-Multipole Method
electromagnetic simulations in varying dimensions. GUI and main functions
implemented in Matlab and fast implementations of code done in C++ wrapper
functions.
Real Time Signal Processing: Design of FPGA based radar receivers and software-defined
radio using Verilog/VHDL.
Algorithms for Inverse Problems: Matlab use of Genetic Algorithm for waveguide design and
characterizing electrical properties of materials at MMW frequencies.
Programming: Matlab, Python, C++, assembly, Java, Verilog, UNIX, Windows, and various GUI
