The respiratory system allows us to breathe by moving air into our nose and down into our lungs. The nose filters air as it enters, while the trachea is a tube that carries air to the lungs. In the lungs, oxygen passes into the bloodstream and carbon dioxide is released, with the diaphragm and rib cage working together to expand the lungs and draw in air.

• The nose is the first part of
the respiratory system,the
air gets into the nose and
some of the germs get
trapped into the nose.The
air that passes go to the
trachea.

3. The trachea
The trachea is like a
tube, the air goes
from the nose to
the lungs.Inside
the trachea there
are tiny hairs and
mucus that keep
dirty away from
your lungs.

4. The lungs
The lungs are the
main organs of the
repiratory system.The
red blood cells are
responsible for
picking up the
oxigen in the lungs
and carryng the
oxige to all the
body cells that need
it.
