This document discusses the judgment that Christians will face when they appear before the Bema Seat of Christ. It notes that believers' works will be tested with fire to reveal their quality, and whether they were built with precious materials like gold and silver or more perishable ones like wood and straw. Believers who built with precious materials will receive rewards for their faithful service, while those who used perishable materials will suffer loss but still be saved. The document encourages believers to use incorruptible materials in their works and to recognize that their words, character, motives and deeds will all be judged.
Set Your Mind on Things Above - Not on Earthly ThingsMargaret Lepke
This document discusses the importance of having a heavenly mindset in everyday life. It encourages the reader to focus on things above, find joy in God, do their banking in heaven by investing in eternal rewards, and be passionate about loving God with their whole being. The document uses several Bible verses to illustrate these points and challenge the reader to set their mind on heavenly things rather than earthly concerns.
The document discusses biblical passages related to tithing, money, wealth, and generosity. It provides verses that say the tithe belongs to God, warn against robbing God by not tithing, and promise blessings for those who faithfully bring their tithes. Other passages advise against making money one's master and assert that love of money leads to evil. The document encourages generous giving without reluctance as what God loves.
The document discusses the concept of grace. It begins by asking questions about grace, such as what the world would look like without it. It then provides Bible verses that contrast the "grace track" with performance, legalism, and sin tracks. The grace track is described as God saving and calling people not according to their works but according to His own purpose and grace. The document encourages applying God's grace in situations and ensuring no one misses out on His grace.
This document discusses that all money and wealth ultimately belongs to God, not humans. It provides several biblical examples to support this, such as Deuteronomy 8:17-18 which says it is God who gives people the power to obtain wealth. The document urges readers to acknowledge God as the true owner of all things and to be good stewards of the blessings God provides, using money to glorify God rather than becoming deceived by the love of money. It concludes by inviting readers to come to Jesus by believing, repenting of sins, confessing faith, and being baptized to attain spiritual blessings.
The document discusses God's desire for all people to be saved and come to repentance. It references passages from II Peter 3:8-9 and I Timothy 2:4 that convey God's patience and unwillingness for anyone to perish. The sermon encourages viewing others through God's perspective and seeing them as people God wants to save. It advocates becoming a "mission church" focused on sharing the gospel with non-believers through flexibility, relationship-building, and telling the stories of Jesus. The goal is for every person in the community to hear God's offer of love.
The people of Israel made promises to God to obey his laws, separate from the surrounding pagan peoples, honor the Sabbath and holy days, and financially support the Temple. Specifically, they promised to obey God's laws as given through Moses, not intermarry with non-Israelites, refrain from commerce on the Sabbath, cancel debts every seven years, and contribute annual donations to support Temple services. In making these promises, they sought to faithfully worship and honor God with their words and actions.

Giving to God's work is one of the great opportunities and paradoxes of life. We can't out give God. In fact, the return on what we give will last for all eternity! More importantly, we have an opportunity to leave a legacy in the lives of real people, for all eternity! This Heart Attitude is one of the ways we are united as a community and can help pull the wagon, together.
The document discusses generosity and giving based on passages from 2 Corinthians 8. It provides a model for generosity, noting that Christians in Macedonia gave sacrificially beyond their means out of their overflowing joy. Their generosity came from giving themselves to God first. Christians are called to excel in generosity as God gave generously through Christ's poverty. Generosity aims for equality, with plenty meeting needs so that all have enough.

1. The document discusses a family that chooses to faithfully serve God YHWH together. The father sets the example by dedicating his household to serving the Lord alone.
2. The family is unified in synchronizing their time to faithfully serve God YHWH.
3. They are passionately involved in the Great Commission as instructed by Jesus Christ, and the father leads by example as the cell leader. Their true treasure is winning souls for God.
The document discusses the Bible's teachings on wealth and money, noting that while money itself is not bad, the love of money can lead people away from God; it provides examples from the Bible of both wealthy and poor people who either accepted or rejected Jesus; and it emphasizes that true riches come from God and one's relationship with Him, not from earthly possessions.
This document provides an overview of the Christian life from birth to spiritual maturity. It discusses three key phases:
1) Life before accepting Christ, when one is spiritually dead and separated from God. Rejecting Christ results in eternal separation and judgment.
2) Accepting Christ and salvation, which passes one from spiritual death to life. It is the gateway to a new life learning to walk with God.
3) The intended objective of spiritual growth, as God wants believers to mature from spiritual infants to adults bearing fruit, built on the foundation of Christ through allowing the Holy Spirit to use one's resources. Believers will one day give account and be rewarded for their deeds at the Judgment Seat of
The document contains several Bible passages about giving, generosity, and contentment. It discusses how magnificent generosity brings joy to others through helping those in need, joy to oneself through reaping what one sows, and joy to God through sacrificial giving being a fragrant offering and acceptable sacrifice that is pleasing to Him. God will meet all needs according to His riches in Christ. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is wished for the recipient's spirit.
The passage discusses how God reconciled humanity to himself through Christ and gave believers the ministry of reconciliation. It says believers are Christ's ambassadors, implored to appeal to others to be reconciled to God. God wants believers to both serve other Christians through ministry and introduce unbelievers to God through their mission.
The document discusses changing false narratives that people hold about finding happiness and the kingdom of God. It presents two common false narratives: 1) that happiness comes from following worldly principles, and 2) that the kingdom of God is only relevant for the future. It then provides the true narratives: 1) true happiness comes from hearing and obeying Jesus, and 2) the kingdom of God is both a present and future reality. The document uses biblical passages to support the true narratives.
God insists that His people remember key things: His promises, past miracles, and deliverance from Egypt. If the Israelites forgot these things, they could stray from obeying God. Likewise, Christians should remember Christ's deliverance from sin. Everything we have ultimately comes from God, so we must not forget to be grateful. Sharing our experiences of God's faithfulness can strengthen others' faith.
This document provides guidance on managing money through four steps: 1) not spending more than you earn, 2) getting out of debt, 3) creating and sticking to a budget, and 4) joining the "Kingdom class" rather than being focused on material possessions. It includes several biblical quotes emphasizing the importance of trusting God rather than money and warns against the idolization of consumerism.
The document discusses putting God first with money and possessions rather than being devoted to money. It notes that Satan wants people distracted from important things like worshipping God and spending time with family. While money is necessary, the Bible warns against greed and being enslaved by money rather than using it responsibly. The document encourages keeping God as Lord of all areas of life, including finances, and striving to be financially free so more time can be spent serving God.
There is nothing more precious than heaven. Job reminds us that we must be steadfast in our faith in God, no matter what happens. Three reasons to look forward to heaven: 1) All the treasures of this earth are not worth more than my soul; 2) Treasures of heaven are priceless; and 3) Jesus prepared the way for me.
This document provides guidance on building a solid life foundation through following Jesus' teachings and enduring life's storms. It advises that 1) we all experience troubles but can have peace through Jesus, 2) to build wisely on the rock of Jesus' words rather than the sand of foolishness, and 3) to fix our eyes on eternal things rather than temporary problems. Building a solid life involves hearing Jesus' words, putting them into practice through obedience, and enduring storms with the foundation of faith in God.
This document discusses mastering money as a follower of Christ. It reviews that true spirituality is determined by one's attitude towards material possessions. The key point is that one cannot serve both God and money, one will be loved more than the other. To master money means not letting it become your master, as disciples of Christ have already submitted to God's lordship. The document provides principles for how to properly view and handle money as a follower of Christ, such as money belonging to God, working to earn it, saving and investing, budgeting, and giving to expand God's kingdom.
This document provides a summary of Lesson 8 for February 22, 2014. It discusses 3 topics: 1) Biblical advice on wealth, 2) Jesus' advice on wealth, and 3) Jesus and rich people like Nicodemus, tax collectors, and the rich young man. The document examines what the Bible says about wealth, being a steward of God's blessings, and how riches can become an idol that prevents people from following God. It also discusses stories of people in the Bible who were rich but chose to follow God, like Zacchaeus, and those who refused to surrender their wealth for God, like the rich young man.
This document discusses how stealing violates God's commandments and harms individuals and society. It notes that God owns all things and it is wrong to steal or take what belongs to others through various means like theft, extortion, cheating or gambling. While stealing can be large or small, it victimizes the owner, damages trust, and costs society. The document suggests preventing stealing through following Jesus' teachings and example of humility, and making restitution if one has stolen.

The document provides an overview and analysis of chapters 9-10 of the book of Esther. It summarizes that God's hand brings judgment in its time against Haman and his sons, leading to a great reversal and vengeance against their enemies. This results in a great celebration being established where the Jews commemorate their deliverance. The document emphasizes that God is always at work behind the scenes to deliver the righteous and execute justice. It concludes by reflecting on Mordecai's legacy of serving his people and encourages leaving behind a godly legacy through one's deeds and faith.

Generous living means not neglecting important matters like justice, mercy and faithfulness. It encourages setting aside money proportionally according to one's income to support God's people. True treasure is stored in heaven, not on earth, and one's heart will follow their treasure. The memory verse encourages remembering that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

This document contains several Bible passages that discuss the importance of work. It begins by noting that God worked to create the world and commanded Adam to work the ground in the Garden of Eden. It then provides three main points: 1) View your job as a blessing from God, as work is part of God's design. 2) See your job as a bridge to help others, both Christians and non-Christians. 3) Consider your job a building project, working for God and building something of eternal value with your labor. Overall, the document encourages Christians to have a biblical perspective on work.
The document contains a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on Friend Day. The sermon discusses several biblical passages about waiting for God and the return of Jesus Christ. It emphasizes that believers' citizenship is in heaven and they are waiting expectantly for Jesus to return. When he does, each believer's works will be tested and evaluated, and they will be rewarded or suffer loss depending on the eternal nature of their works. The sermon encourages believers to remain united with Christ and build their lives around him alone.
The document is a sermon about waiting for Jesus' return and the Judgment Seat of Christ. It discusses that believers' citizenship is in heaven and they eagerly await Jesus' return. It also talks about how believers will have their works judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ to determine eternal rewards, but that salvation is not at stake in this judgment. The sermon encourages believers to entwine their lives around Christ so their works will withstand the testing fire at His judgment.
This document contains notes from a Sunday school lesson on Philippians 3:20-21 about citizenship in heaven and the transformation of the body. It discusses the order of end times events including the rapture, glorification of believers, and the Bema Seat judgment. Believers will be rewarded for their works, deeds, and faithfulness on earth at the Bema Seat. Both rewards and losses are possible depending on one's obedience to God and good works done in His name. Works done with the right motives please God and lead to eternal rewards, though salvation is by grace alone.
The document discusses four strategies for living life: Leave a Legacy by living with integrity and righteousness that endures; Make Investments with eternity in mind by storing up treasures in heaven rather than on earth; Fulfill God's Plan for your life by trusting in Him, loving Him and your neighbor, and following Him wholeheartedly; Live with an Eternal Perspective by setting your mind on heavenly things, making disciples, and fixing your eyes on the unseen eternal rewards rather than temporary earthly troubles.
The document discusses the concept of rewards in heaven and being judged for one's deeds at the Judgement Seat of Christ. It provides biblical references to support the ideas that believers will be judged for their works and rewarded based on their faithfulness and service to God. Believers are encouraged to focus on living for God to store up treasures in heaven and receive greater rewards and responsibilities.
Matthew 24 and 25 describe signs of the end times and how to prepare. Jesus predicted the destruction of Jerusalem, which occurred in 70 AD, and compared it to future end time events now unfolding. These events include wars, famines, earthquakes, persecution of Christians, and rise of false prophets. The "abomination of desolation" refers to both the desecration of the Jewish temple by Rome and the future desecration of Jesus' ministry in the heavenly sanctuary by papal Rome. Believers must remain faithful through crisis, like the wise virgins with oil, and make use of their spiritual gifts, like the servants given talents, in order to be saved at Christ's second coming.
The document discusses biblical passages about eternal rewards for believers. It notes that believers will be rewarded according to their works and faithfulness to God. There will be different levels of reward in heaven based on how believers lived on earth, including crowns for overcoming trials and making disciples. The rewards will far outweigh any suffering endured for Christ and motivate Christians to serve wholeheartedly.
1) After death, believers go to Paradise in Heaven to await resurrection, while unbelievers go to Hades.
2) At the rapture, living believers will rise to meet Christ in the air and be with him forever, along with resurrected believers.
3) In Heaven, believers will attend the marriage supper of the Lamb and feast on fine foods and wine, before returning to earth with Christ to reign for 1000 years.
This document provides a warning about the abominations that will be seen in the end times before Jesus returns. It discusses how God's people must stand against false teachings and worldly influences in order to receive God's seal of protection during the time of trouble. It emphasizes living a holy, obedient life and preparing spiritually for what is coming upon the earth through greater conformity to Christ.
The document presents multiple Bible verses that indicate God will judge all people based on their deeds and works, not just on faith alone. God searches people's hearts and minds, and will repay each person according to what they have done. All will stand before God and be judged for the good or evil things done in their life. The quality and motivations of each person's works will be revealed and tested by fire, and people will be rewarded or suffer loss based on whether their works survive. The goal for Christians is to please God by the good or evil done in their earthly body, as all must stand before Christ to be judged.
Bema Judgment from Willmington Guide to the BibleBerean Guide
The bema judgment is not about determining salvation, but about evaluating believers' works and stewardship since salvation. Believers will give an account for how they used their gifts, treated others, exercised authority, spent money, suffered for Christ, spent time, ran their race, controlled their sin nature, and witnessed to souls. Works will be tested and classified as gold, silver, precious stones (worthy), or wood, hay, stubble (worthless). Rewards in heaven will be based on faithful stewardship and productivity for the kingdom.
The document outlines a plan for a church called "Plunge! 2010" that focuses on being wholehearted with God, single-minded in ministry, and fighting with a spiritual fighting spirit. It provides biblical references to support becoming fully devoted to God and the work of ministry, forgetting past failures and pressing on toward the goal, and enduring hardship as a good soldier of Christ through facing opposition and difficulties. The overall aim is for the church to connect with God and people, grow through God's word, and reach more people by the end of 2010.
1) When believers die, their souls go to Paradise in Heaven to await the resurrection. Unbelievers go to Hades.
2) At the rapture, living believers will rise to meet Christ in the air and be with him forever in Paradise.
3) After the rapture, believers will participate in the Judgment Seat of Christ where they will be rewarded based on their deeds. Rewards include crowns.
This document is a summary of a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on May 20, 2018. The sermon discusses the Judgment Seat of Christ mentioned in 2 Corinthians 5:9-10, where believers will give an account of their actions during their lifetime and receive rewards. It describes the different crowns or rewards believers can receive for acts of evangelism, faithfulness, shepherding others, self-discipline, and perseverance. While salvation is a free gift, believers are motivated to live holy lives out of love for God knowing they will one day give an account before the Judgment Seat of Christ.
The document discusses how God created humans to be givers rather than solely focused on worldly pursuits. It cites several Bible verses explaining that God blesses those who give to others in need and calls believers to steward their resources wisely by being generous. The overall message is that Christians should follow God's example of providing for others rather than accumulating possessions for themselves.

In a synagogue on the Sabbath, Jesus sees a woman who had been disabled for 18 years. When he heals her, the ruler of the synagogue criticizes Jesus for healing on the Sabbath. The document suggests we should emulate the Samaritan's compassionate actions.

Because of how much God has loved us, we ought to love one another. When we love one another, God remains in us and his love is perfected in us.
There’s a lot of empty space with people making empty claims about God and Jesus and life and truth, but those quite frankly don’t add up, they sound good, but they’re hollow like this wall, and they can’t support the weight of your life, and if you try to anchor yourself to it, you’ll fall.
This document discusses how Jesus Christ serves as our advocate and the propitiation for our sins. It notes that if we sin, we have an advocate in Jesus, who turned God's righteous anger into favor through his sacrifice. It emphasizes the importance of keeping God's commandments and walking as Jesus walked in order to know that we abide in him.
The Real Deal: The DIY Fake Jesus FilterCompassChurch
If you try to get me to get excited about a Jesus who went 90% of the way, that’s a crappy Jesus. If the Jesus you’re showing me did not completely cover my sin, so that my whole life is now lived in gratitude toward him, then you’ve got a FAKE JESUS.
People will say, "why does God even allow us to disobey him in the first place? Wouldn’t the world be so much better if he didn’t?" But at the same time, it is an opportunity for him to show His redemptive power, which is more than He could have done if we never needed to be rescued in the first place.

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!

Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.

2. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold,
silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each
one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will
disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire,
and the fire will test what sort of work each one
has done.
3. If the work that anyone has built on the
foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If
anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss,
though he himself will be saved, but only as
through fire.
