which is a typical element of crime/thriller films.
 Men are normally the main characters because they are seen to be
more dominant.

4.  Slow motion is used to emphasise tension and build suspense
 A high angle shot is often used when trying to make a character
appear weak and to signify the inferior character
 A low angle shot is used to signify a dominant character in the
scene and show their superiority
 Tense music, ticking, gun shots, car skidding, heartbeat are all
types of diegetic and non diegetic noises that you would most
likely hear in a crime/thriller film
 Sounds are normally emphasised in crime/thriller films so they
appear more dramatic meaning they’ll have a greater effect on
the audience
 Fast paced editing is normally used to create an energetic and
upbeat atmosphere
 Establishing shots are regularly used at the beginning of scenes
to show the audience the new location

5.  My target audience is 17-25 year olds – the characters in the
film are within this age range so the audience can relate to them
which will attract them to watch the film
 My target audience are also normally associated with partying,
alcohol and rebellious antics which my film trailer will include as
it will make the target audience interested
 My target audience is both genders, this is because the film will
appeal to both male and females due to many aspects including
male and female characters, relatable situations and partying
 Fast paced editing will be used throughout my trailer which will
attract my target audience. This is because it will create and
energetic and upbeat atmosphere which is relatable for my
teenage audience
