allows a sympathetic view. You are able to see into both characters emotional state. The
interpretation of even the title Sealed Off is noted and sets a stage for the reader to a war-ridden
state. The city is sealed off but the story doesn’t go into detail on how it is, this is left up to the
reader to use imagination. The tow characters Cuiyan and Zongzhen are sealed off and distant to
the people in their lives both professionally and personally.

The story is told from the 3rd person and has a limited view her straightforward reporting style
allows a sympathetic view. You are able to see into both characters emotional state. The
interpretation of even the title Sealed Off is noted and sets a stage for the reader to a war-ridden
state. The city is sealed off but the story doesn’t go into detail on how it is, this is left up to the
reader to use imagination. The tow characters Cuiyan and Zongzhen are sealed off and distant to
the people in their lives both professionally and personally.
\"I don\'t know why, every evening when the time rolls around; I go home. What home? I don\'t
really have a home.\" He removed his glasses, held them up to the light, wiped off the moisture
with his handkerchief. Another little cough. \"So–I just have to keep going on, and try not to
think about it. I can\'t start thinking about it!\" Cuiyuan always felt a certain revulsion when a
nearsighted person removed his glasses in front of others. It was indecent, like taking off your
clothes in public.
I chose this particular quote from the story because it shows a glimpse of what his personal life is
and by removing his glasses it also captures a period of vulnerability. Most people tend to guard
themselves and only show others what they think they want to see, by taking off his glasses he is
showing a side that is uncensored.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Identify the potential flaws of each voting method. a) The Nobel Prizes Solution The Nobel Peace Prize winner is chosen by the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which is made up of five members appointed by the Norwegian parliament. These members are supposed to be fiercely indpendent. For example, since 1936, government officials have been prohibited from sitting on the committee to avoid any hints that the Committee may be influenced by the current political climate in Norway. The goal of the Nobel Peace Prize is to reward people who have made major steps toward bringing peace to the world in the year before the nomination. Oftentimes, the winners are people who have not completed their work toward peace, but who are at a critical juncture in their work and who need the support that winning the Nobel Peace Prize brings. To pick the winners, the Norwegian Nobel Committee considers all nominees, then selects a "short list" of five to 20 people for further review. Those candidates are then considered for the prize. The Committee's permanent advisors and other experts gather information about the short-listed candidates into reports which help the committee with their deliberations .
- 2. The Committee attempts to reach a unanimous vote through discussions and debates. If a unanimous decision can't be reached by the deadline at the beginning of October, a majority vote will suffice to name the Nobel Peace Prize winner.
