(196x), Western Germany was nearly
equal (47% vs 44 % catholic / protestant,
Fischer Weltalmanach 1989) Textbooks
had to be acceptable to both versions
In 2012, (CIA world factbook):
Protestant 34%, Roman Catholic 34%,
Muslim 3.7%, unaffiliated or other 28.3%
