the Theory of Special Relativity is an extremely elegant
construct that deals with things moving near or at the speed of
light., the new concept of space and time that arises from
Relativity is based only on two simple postulates: 1. The laws
of physics are the same in all inertial (=non-accelerating)
reference frames, and 2. The speed of light in free space is
constant. These were brought to life in Einstein's work; On the
Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies in 1905.

With this knowledge Einstein was able to derive the same
transformation Equations Lorentz had discovered before.
Special Relativity Equations
1. A Vulcan spacecraft has a speed of 0.600c with respect to Earth.
The Vulcans
determine 32.0 h to be the time interval between two events on Earth.
What value would they determine for this time interval if their ship had
a speed of
0.940c with respect to Earth?

a) 75hrs
b) 30 hrs
c) 26hrs
d) 50hrs
Solution number 1
Multiple Choice Problem #2
 A spacecraft travels along a space station platform at 0.65c
relative to the platform. An astronaut on the spacecraft
determines the platform to be 3.00x102 m long. What is the
length of the platform as measured by an observer on the
    platform?

 A) 2.99x102
 B) 5.49x106
 C) 4.78x104

accelerate it to a speed of 0.990c.

   a. 2.56x105
   b. 34.67
   c. 6.76x10-12
   d. 4.99x10-13

String Theory and Relativity
 (General Relativity, describes gravity as the consequence
of objects with mass distorting the space-time
continuum, which has 3 dimensions and a 4th dimension
of time. And scientists have shown that forces occur
because of the exchange of particles. We have been able
to prove this by finding the exchanged particles. All the
fundamental forces can be explained by this particle
theory except the force of gravity. Scientists have not
been able to find the particle that is exchanged in the
gravitational force. String Theory is a modern theory
which suggests that if extremely tiny "strings" of energy
can explain the exchange of gravity-creating particles
between massive objects, but extra dimensions are
needed there are about 6 more dimensions in String
Theory. Also if it right then all the work Einstein did was
wrong and everything we believe in about gravity and
space is wrong. However String Theory unifies all the
    forces.
The importance and
implications of Einstein’s work
Without Einstein's work we would not have
 (Gps) and Nuclear Power. Einstein’s
work help lead to many great and power
items such as nuclear bombs and many
 other military weapons.
