5. The Rekindled story follows a US ex-military personnel,
called Scott Carter. He was honourably discharged due to a
head injury, which resulted in memory loss and now lives his
life working at a local corner shop.
We go on to see his life unravel along with his memories of a
woman with long brown hair in his dreams. With the
flashbacks happening more frequently and in public, a
random stranger (Harley) decides to help him.
Harley and Scott try to piece together his broken memories,
they use social media to track down the mystery woman. We
start to see his past life with her and his time being in the
military shown.
We find out the mystery woman is his wife, Eloise, and that
they have a son together, Theodore. Letters were sent to her
address from the military of him being MIA (which they
eventually had a funeral for) and of him being found. The
letter of his return never reached her as her younger brother,
Dean, hid it.
At the end we have a resolution of Scott reuniting with Eloise
and of him finally meeting his son.

7. However, since 2017 we haven’t seen anymore of these genres/
styles of films. I think incorporating these two styles would be a
good watch for anyone wanting a realistic film that includes war,
loss and love.
There are currently a few gaps in the market for an action styled drama that includes realistic and ‘gritty’ use of
the war/ life outside of it.
There have been a few films with elements of what I want to show such as ‘Memento’, which was released on
October 2000. This has a few of the key themes running through it, loss of memory and going on a journey to track
down his wife. Another film that shows memory loss is ‘Unknown’ (released in March 2011), this film shows the main
character waking up in hospital and experiencing flashbacks of a woman he is in a relationship with. This is very
close to my own story line and shows the flashbacks in a way I wish to portray.
The film ‘Dunkirk’, which was a film released in July 2017. This showed the elements of war, sacrifice and PTSD
that I am wanting to capture. Also the film ‘Fury’, which was released in October 2014 shows the emotional trauma
of war and realistic scenes throughout. This is similar to how I want the war scenes in rekindled to come across.

9. The target audience for this potential film would be demographically for:
Both genders
Young to middle aged people (23-50) prime audience 30’s
Social status’ of C2-B would want to watch this as that corresponds with
their living style/ working hours (have time/money)
Certificate rating in accordance of the BBFC – 15/18 – violence/ bad
language
E – Not in age range (students)
D- Would want escapism / something surreal – real life is hard/ stressful
A – Too busy with work / no personal life
10. Psychographic audience:
Resigned (older generation) – Interested in
tradition, appreciate the realistic war scenes/
find it interesting
Reformers – Interested in social awareness,
independent judgment, and in general a
different outlook on a overlooked situation (in
this case how people in the US military are
treated after being discharged)
11. Psychographically: explorers, mainstreamers
Demographically: both genders, younger people (students who
attend films with family/ friends)
12.
13. 32 years old
Ex-military personnel
MIA - went missing at age of 30, found a year later and honourable
discharged
Missed birth of Theodore (his son)
Married to Eloise
Chris Evans is the type of actor I think would suit the role of Scott because of
his previous acting jobs in Marvel, as Captain America.
14. 28 years old
High IQ – low EQ (emotional connection & understanding)
Lot of pressure from family – his dad was obsessed with
Harley’s, hence the name
Dad drunk/ mum tried looking out for him – she died when he
was young
Bad/ awkwardly timed jokes
Harley helps our main character throughout the film to come
to terms with his memory loss and helps him to find his wife.
Eddie Kaye Thomas is the type of actor I think would suit the
role of Harley, this is partly because of the way he played his
character in the TV series ‘Scorpion’.
15. 29 years old
Nickname – Ellie
Maiden name “Mann”
Mother of Theodore Mann
A pre-school teacher (kind, gentle, etc.)
Adelaide Kane is the type of actor I would like to play Eloise
because of her role in ‘Reign’.
16. 21 years old
Eloise’s younger brother
Uni drop-out
Part time job as cleaner at the Pre-school
Young, rebellious and thinks he knows best
I think Cole Sprouse would be the type of actor I would like
to play Dean because of his recent role in Riverdale.
17. 2 years old
Son of Eloise and Scott
Does not know his father
Goes to the same Pre-school Eloise works at
We properly meet Theodore at the end of the story when
Scott comes back into his life.
18. Late 30’s
A friend of Scott’s from the war
Is in Scott’s flashbacks
Helped to recover him from being held captive
Thomas does not play a huge role within the storyline, as his part
in Scott’s life is before we are introduced to the situation.
However, we do see him throughout as a part of Scotts
memories.
I think Paul Anderson is the type of actor I would like for the role
of Thomas because of his previous acting in Peaky Blinders.
19. Emergency services
Crowd outside apartment
General public on the streets/ in the shop
