In this reflective journal, the author discusses innovative teaching strategies they learned about in their fourth week. They found the session on innovative teaching strategies to be completely new. The author learned about theories from second language acquisition researchers like Stephen Krashen, Ana Filipek, and Howard Gardner. The author particularly enjoyed Christine's pictorial reveal demonstration technique and believes it will help students in three ways: by enjoying learning new vocabularies from the teacher's drawings; practicing speaking with partners; and actively participating so they do not get bored.
