On Wednesday, May 27, 2015, DePaul Symphony Orchestra held their 39th Annual Spring
concert at Orchestra Hall of Chicago Symphony Orchestra center from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
When I arrived, I noticed that most of the audiences were formally dressed, including kids,
students, adults, and elders. It was really crowded in the room; I estimated that there were over 300
attendees. After taking my seat, I looked around the stage and saw a huge orchestra. All the
musicians were dressed in black, and they were still practicing even when their performance was

documents ever written, but at the same time they were taking away from blacks certain freedoms

her hiking abilities at the beginning. She got embarrassed when she would run into other hikers
and they would mention the size of her bag or other information that is common knowledge to
most hikers. However, later on she begins to become more confident in her abilities and even
goes as far as to say she, felt like a hard ass motherfucking Amazonian queen (202). Her newfound
confidence is shown as she meets people who are not hikers and is eager to explain to them
about the PCT and tell them about her journey, particularly when she meets the reporter for
Hobo Times. She earnestly argues that she is not a hobo and calls herself an expert hiker and
explains how far she travels and the hardships of the trail. Her newfound confidence shines
through during this encounter, as she is no longer the insecure hiker from the start of her trip.
Most importantly, Cheryl finds strength and direction throughout her trip. Before her journey
her life is a mess, she has just divorced her husband and acquired a heroin addiction. Not only
does the fact that she s disconnected keep her from her bad habits, such as heroin, but it also
gives her direction with her life. Her journey inspires her to write this novel, which she says she
had been ashamed she had not written one before already, and she plans to have a yard sale so she

averaging 76 to 81 degrees. Trout are showing signs of schooling over deep water and feeding on
shad minnows. Trollers have been finding trout at 40 to 60 feet with Speedy Shiners, Needlefish,
and ExCel lures. Night fishermen have been doing well by anchoring over fairly deep water and
lowering their light to about 20 feet. This attracts plankton, which in turn, attracts shad, which will
attract larger fish. Live minnows and nightcrawlers are choice baits. The kokanee numbers may
be down, but the quality is good with some going 15 to 18 inches. Bladed lures may work well in
deeper water as they create vibration which will attract fish. Scented corn on each hook is
important. Big trout winner at Glory Hole Sports was, again, Bob James, of Murphys, with a 2
