This document provides references for a senior research project on geology at Mizan-Tepi University. It contains over 50 references from 2015 to 2020 on topics related to municipal solid waste management, landfills, leachate characterization, and the environmental impacts of waste disposal. Many of the references examine using geological and geophysical methods to study landfill sites and assess groundwater contamination from waste dumping. The references also evaluate leachate pollution and the composition of municipal solid waste in various locations, including Ethiopia.
