LETTER OF REFERENCE
Niek van Harderwijk was originally employed by mystar Education and Business Solutions (Pty) Ltd in
August 2012 as Mathematics and Physical Science Materials Developer.
Within five months his role changed to that of Project Manager: Mathematics and Physical Science,
responsible for overseeing the development of StarSchools’ Grade 12 Mathematics and Physical
Science text books.
Following the successful completion of these projects, Niek was appointed as scriptwriter for mystar
Engage, the company’s business unit responsible for the development of e‐learning solutions for the
corporate environment.
His responsibilities include:
 Meeting with clients to determine their content requirements
 Content extraction from subject matter experts
 Writing of scripts for use in e‐learning solutions
Niek’s technical aptitude is invaluable in the process of content extraction and scriptwriting. Most of
the content he is tasked to develop is of a technical nature and Niek is able to convert the
information into a workable script that facilitates learner training in a user‐friendly manner.
Niek is always eager to learn new skills and is not afraid of hard work, qualities which make him a
valued member of the mystar team. He is friendly and gets on well with his colleagues. His general
attitude is always positive and he is always willing to help. I would highly recommend Niek to any
prospective employer.
