REDD+ and Rights

Editor's Notes

  • #3 1. Introduction Good day to everyone! I was asked to do a key note speak with the angle that 'REDD+ has to happen, and should try and strengthen rights as we goes. I am going to give you the perspective from what our work is picking up from the ground from the communities and from our working with the government. We are implementing a regional programme in Southeast Asia. We work in Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia. We do both REDD+ pilot projects in the four countries as well as policy related work. Strengthening community rights and empowering communities to step up and become the custodians of REDD is in the heart of our work.
