Records related to accounting, legal, personnel, and property matters are retained according to the following schedule:
1) Accounting records such as annual financial reports, general ledgers, accounts receivable/payable records, and payroll records are retained permanently or for 7-10 years depending on the type of record.
2) Legal documents such as partnership agreements and copyright materials are retained permanently, while correspondence is kept for 1-7 years.
3) Personnel records for current employees are retained permanently, while post-employment records are retained for 3-7 years.
4) Property records like equipment records, warranties, and insurance documents are retained for 1-10 years depending on the type
