Lender Live Vice President of Information Systems
This is a letter of reference for Jim Morris. Jim was employed from January 2006 through August 2006 as a Project Manager. When I hired Jim, he eagerly agreed to undertake the challenge of putting a project management process in place at Lender Live for our Information Technology group. Jim worked diligently towards that goal, but I was unable to deliver the resources, support and infrastructure necessary in order to achieve our milestones. Ultimately, I made the difficult decision that as a company, Lender Live is not committed to putting this process in place at this time. As a result, Jim’s position was no longer required. This decision was not a reflection of Jim’s skills as a Project Manager. The work he produced during his time here was of good quality and he went above and beyond in trying to move us in the right direction. He worked well with all members of my staff and was able to communicate effectively with developers, business analysts and management alike. I would recommend Jim to any company seeking a strong Project Manager, and would hire Jim back if we are ever in a position to truly utilize his skills. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss Jim’s skills in further detail. Sincerely, Reid Nelson VP, Information Systems Lender Live Network, Inc.
ICG Communications Vice President of Service Activation & Client Services
This letter is in reference to Jim Morris and his position as a Project Manager at ICG. Jim has worked in my organization since I took over in October 2004. My organization is Service Activation and Customer Care. Jim was responsible for private optical builds and electronic card installs for highly strategic customers. This position required coordination between engineering and operations and sales, timely field operations installations, capital research and approval, overall project tracking, ROE process and progress, customer communication regarding status and committed due dates, order manager interaction and weekly updates to myself and other executives. Jim has done a great job at managing the various departments that are involved throughout the life cycle of the projects. Jim sets requirements with all departments by scheduling conference calls, through email or phone calls. He understands all the various elements of a project and is on top of the issues when they arise. Jim has been a critical link to the success of these projects over the past 12 months. He demonstrated self direction, initiation, problem resolution and professional communication. Jim is a dedicated worker and would be an asset to any team he joins. Alicia Burke Vice President Service Activation & Client Services ICG Communications
ICG Communications National Director of Transport Engineering
Hiring Manager: I have known and worked directly with Jim Morris since early 2002 here at ICG Communications. In that period, Jim has continually demonstrated an exceptional level of competence as a Project Manager on major customer builds. He manages from “sale to turn-up,” including capital budgeting, right-of-entry, fiber plant construction, equipment installation, internal and external customer interfacing, and management reporting. He interfaced daily with my engineering and planning team, and is always diligent in completing his projects goals on schedule and within budget. Jim has always had an excellent, “can-do” attitude, great communication skills, and gets along well with management, peers and subordinates. He is creative, resourceful, and a great problem solver. He is an individual you can always count on to get things done right. I give my personal recommendation to Jim as a valued employee for your team. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or would like to discuss further. Sincerely, Dan Sample ICG National Director, Transport Engineering
