This letter recommends 80 hours of industry service for Sylvia Dao for her volunteer work assisting Temple University's Office of International Affairs during their 2015 International Student Welcome Week program from August 9th to 22nd. Sylvia provided integral assistance ensuring services for new international students ran smoothly, including counseling, airport pickups, orientation sessions, and move-in help. Her participation helped the international students have a smooth transition and feel welcome at Temple University.

I would like to present eighty (80) hours of industry service to Sylvia Dao for her
dutiful volunteer service she offered to our Office of International Affairs during our
International Student Welcome Week Program. The activities and services of this
program took place from August 9, until August 22, 2015.
Sylvia’s presence and assistance was integral in ensuring that service we offered to our
new incoming international students was executed smoothly. The service had several
components, including night counseling for students during week-long stay at J&H
residence hall, greeting students at the airport, assisting them with their luggage,
leading students through their orientation sessions on daily basis, assisting
International Affairs team in execution of the programs planned for the Welcome Week,
answering new international students inquiries about Temple, and assisting them
during their final move in into their permanent dormitories.
With Sylvia’s assistance, our international students had a smooth transition and felt
more than welcome to our University. Her participation was invaluable in exuding
Temple University’s spirit, and helped to characterize Temple’s student body as one of
intelligence, poise, and passion.
