General description:
What is the location: The location is of a bathroom, used for Felicity getting ready-
this is part of Emma McAlpines house which we have permission for using.

What would you film here: In this location we will be filming the main character, Felicity
Harrison, here she will be getting ready for school, this will be accompanied by a voice
over of felicity telling us about her and her life.

Public Usage: This is the only bathroom in the house so could cause a problem if anybody
needs the toilet- however there will only be us in the house, and we will need to make
sure to take regular breaks so we do not disrupt filming.

Power Supply: are there any electrical points to charge the camera? YES

Lighting:
How well lit is the site? The bathroom has two main lights on the ceiling which
we found very helpful however there were also two windows which had the sun
beaming in- which was helpful as it was natural and also showed it was morning
- something we wanted to come across in filming.

Where does the light come from? The main light we used came from the windows and
sun- but at points where it got dark we could turn on the main lights to add extra light.

Will you require extra lighting? We shouldn’t need any extra lighting if the sun is out
and beaming which we have forecasted that it will be- and if this doesn’t happen we have the
two main lights found on the ceiling if we need to brighten up the place.

How will you white balance the camera? In editing

Sound and Noise:
Are there any background sounds? There shouldn’t be as the location is in a house.
Are these natural or man-made? If there is, it will be from cars which are man-made.

Will these affect the shoot? This wont affect shooting to the extent to where
we cant film as it would be normal to hear cars in our films as we are in a house.

Health and Safety:
Electrical (power lines etc): We are inside so no danger of power lines
Trip hazards: If we don’t clean up as we go there could be a danger of tripping
Fire hazards: There are no fire hazards unless the hair curlers are left unattended
Machinery: No machinery is used
Potential for street crime: We are in a house so no street crime.

Permission Required? YES Contact Name: Emma McAlpine Number:01249 465877

Site Evaluation:
Suitability: How suitable is the location to your shoot? 7 /10
Public Usage: Will the area be used by the public? Could this be a nuisance? 9 /10
Power supply: Is there a power supply? What will you do if batteries fail? 10 /10
Space to Move: Is there enough room to fit in the actors, crew and camera? 6 /10
Lighting: Is the site dark? Will you require extra lighting? 8/10
Sound and Noise: Will any background noises affect the shoot? 9/10
Health and Safety: IMPORTANT ! How safe is the site? 9 /10
