Analysis
Genre  Aquamarine is a pre-teen girly movie and includes some conventions that will be found in the movie opening that we are producing (even though aquamarine is rated at a PG and our film will be rated for people at the age of 12).
Characterisation  In the opening 2 minutes of Aquamarine we learn where the film will be set at times under the sea and on the beach.  The camera focus’s on two teenage girls on the beach showing us some of the characters that star in the film. The camera also focus’s on a male lifeguard and he is portrayed as a good looking man that the two girls are attracted to.
Title’s There is a blue rippling (water like) font for the names of the characters in the film, producers and directors etc. The title of the film is show with a blue rippling font effect as well and the colour blue in the title could represent the sea.
Mood and Tone The opening of the film aquamarine shows a happy mood and tone.  The opening also gives a magical feeling about the film to the viewers.
