Eastside City Park in Birmingham is proposed as the location for photography for a magazine article. The park is only a nine minute walk from the starting point of Birmingham Ormiston Academy. It will suit the genre of music being featured and show the artist in a positive light. The park offers good opportunities for creative shots and lighting. There will be no need to hire the location or get permission from the public as long as they are not in the background of photos. The Birmingham City Council owns the park and can grant permission to use the area. Natural lighting will be used and lightweight, pre-charged cameras so no external power is needed. The weather will be checked to choose a day with good conditions to allow for sufficient shooting time

Eastside City Park in Birmingham
is only a nine minute walk from our
starting point. The starting point is
Birmingham Ormiston Academy.
3. Firstly because it will suite the genre of music that I am
basing my magazine article and front cover on, and show
the artist I have chosen to focus on in a positive and good
light. Its also a very beautiful and picturesque place with
attractive features and artistic spots throughout. Because
my artist is a group the park will be an easy place to get
some nice long shots.
Why?
The park offers good
opportunities for creative
shots and good lighting
for the shots I want.
4. Availability:
This location will be
extremely easy to use
as there is no hire
needed we just have to
make sure that the
general public aren’t in
the background of the
shots because then we
don’t have to worry
about getting there
permission to be shot.
5. Contact Details:

Because of the ownership of the park, we need to contact
the Birmingham council because they take full ownership.
This will mean that it should be easy to hire out and get
permission to use the area.
6. We will not need any
power sources because
we are going to use the
natural light where we
can find it to make the
shots look more realistic
and relatable. And we are
going to use light weight,
prior-charged cameras to
take the photos so that
we don’t have to worry
about sourcing power
from outside.

7. Lighting:
Because we are depending on the natural light there is a
great chance that we could lose some shooting time
because of the light and weather. But to give us more
chance to get good shots I will check the weather forecast
and chose a day when it is set to be good weather.
