CONTEXT
Is conformity good or bad? Are people willing to hurt one another just because an authority told them to? Some of the most fascinating research results about human behavior were intending to answer these very questions. The results on the topics of social conformity and obedience to authority revealed some disturbing revelations about human behavior and about potential harm to participants in research. The studies and their results had tremendous implications for the field on how we conduct research—and on how we understand the influence of social pressure and leadership. Because of the significant implications in both research and application, these studies have been some of the most controversial and hotly debated topics in psychology.

1) What is your preferred learning style? I am definitely a kinesthetic learner. I can hear something or study something but will not feel comfortable with it until I have hands on experience with it.

My preferred learning environment is in a classroom setting with others. Working with other classmates on projects really seems to help me. Good lighting is always helpful.

Since that is not possible through online classes participating in the discussions with other classmates is also a good way to study and learn. Their perspective on a topic can be a different way at looking at something that I may not have learned on my own.

My proffered learning style is visual and kinesthetic. I like studying in a bright cold room because it is harder to get tired because we all know studying is tiring. I usually just were headphones and study alone as well. Strategies I use to study include reading the content over and over again, writing down notes on the material multiple times, and using flash cards to help me.

There are various theories on love and attachment that highlight just how complicated romantic relationships are. Even with their complexities, it is important for us to understand adult attachment and types of love so we may assist those we may serve in making sense of their relationships and helping them build and maintain long and satisfying partnerships. As psychology professionals with knowledge in facilitating acceptance and weathering rejection, we can be part of assisting others in fulfilling this important human need by successfully building feelings of belonging in social relationships.

Is conformity good or bad? Are people willing to hurt one another just because an authority told them to? Some of the most fascinating research results about human behavior were intending to answer these very questions. The results on the topics of social conformity and obedience to authority revealed some disturbing revelations about human behavior and about potential harm to participants in research. 1) What is your preferred learning style? I am definitely a kinesthetic learner. I can hear something or study something but will not feel comfortable with it until I have hands on experience with it.
2) What is your preferred learning environment (sound, temperature, lighting, lecture vs. hands-on vs. discussion, working with others or not, etc.)? My preferred learning environment is in a classroom setting with others. Working with other classmates on projects really seems to help me. Good lighting is always helpful.
3) What are some strategies (according to your learning style) you use to study? I like to take notes during instruction. Since that is not possible through online classes participating in the discussions with other classmates is also a good way to study and learn. Their perspective on a topic can be a different way at looking at something that I may not have learned on my own.

My proffered learning style is visual and kinesthetic. I like studying in a bright cold room because it is harder to get tired because we all know studying is tiring. I usually just were headphones and study alone as well. Strategies I use to study include reading the content over and over again, writing down notes on the material multiple times, and using flash cards to help me.

There are various theories on love and attachment that highlight just how complicated romantic relationships are. Even with their complexities, it is important for us to understand adult attachment and types of love so we may assist those we may serve in making sense of their relationships and helping them build and maintain long and satisfying partnerships. As psychology professionals with knowledge in facilitating acceptance and weathering rejection, we can be part of assisting others in fulfilling this important human need by successfully building feelings of belonging in social relationships.

What causes people to be drawn to one another? What happens when one experiences rejection? Human beings are wired for relationships. Unlike some species that do not organize socially, such as koalas and jaguars, humans need relationships. We are what Baumeister and Bushman refer to as cultural animals, immersing ourselves within social groups.
