1. Realization
By Shanon Quinn
Flame then flicker, spark then death,
The light won’t breathe another breath,
But die alone with sad romance,
Like a wizards midnight stance,
A supernova of self destruction,
An angel at a witch’s junction,
A widow’s sad remembrance of,
The last day with her truest love.
Sadness is like suicide,
For dreamers who have never tried,
To comprehend reality,
In a world to never be,
As soft and sweet as roses blooms,
Or dancers fluffy feather plumes,
Destiny’s not often kind,
And seeing has made worlds go blind.
