Do you know how the Clean Energy Act of 2009 will impact your B2B Marketing? There will be nearly $60 million in government incentives once the Congress passes this bill and President Obama signs it. Will your company be ready to take advantage of it?
Leveraging Government Programs to Cut Costs and Green Your FacilityCrunchEnergy
Making your facility more energy efficient will save you money in utility bills - and help the environment too.
But making your building more energy efficient can require significant capital investment.
How can you get the funds to make the changes you need to - especially if you're required to conform to new efficiency standards? With so many technology vendors knocking on your doors peddling their new products, how can you make an informed decision on how to move forward with the smartest, most proven retrofit projects?

America has implemented hundreds of energy policies over the years. Several have been highly successful, but many have also been environmentally ineffective and financially wasteful. Energy Policy Solutions measures the cost and emissions impacts of more than 50 climate and energy policies to determine the best policy package for decarbonizing America's economy while saving billions of dollars. Go to https://www.energypolicy.solutions/ to learn more about our project and create your own policy scenarios using our Energy Policy Simulator.
Energy use and climate change are inextricably linked. The majority of U.S. greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions - 84 percent - are in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2), resulting almost entirely from the combustion of fossil fuels.
Choices made today in the current national energy policy debate will directly impact U.S. greenhouse gas emissions far into the future. Decision-makers face the challenge of crafting policies that allow the United States to meet its energy needs while acting responsibly to reduce GHG emissions. There is a substantial convergence between the goals of energy policy and climate policy, and many feasible and beneficial policies from supply and security perspectives can also reduce future U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. This presentation considers near-term energy policies that can be adopted in the context of the energy policy debate to best position the local governments to reduce GHG emissions and to implement future climate change policies. In summary, the audience will learn the following:
• Link between energy and climate
• Energy policy context
• Economics of energy
• Example energy reduction/efficiency policies contained in Climate Action Plans.

SolarTech - 22nd and 23rd July, 2014 - Presentation on the various Solar policy needs for India.
Current Issues that Solar can mitigate to a large extent
Huge Gap between Generation and Consumption with high AT&C Losses
Power tariffs held at artificial low, with a widening gap and not in line with actual costs, due to subsidies and freebies
Grid availability poor across most states and infrastructure in need of upgrade
Industry plagued by unreliable power and high costs of running Diesel Gensets
Yearly National AT&C losses at 75,000 Crores and mounting
Discoms still resorting to Load Shedding
Grid too expensive for low density locations coupled with growing rural needs and lifestyle
Poor Discom infrastructure and health unable to support the growing needs of the country
RECs future is hazy without enforcement and 2nd Amendment has no value
Rooftop Subsidies – No MNRE disbursements since Feb 2013, No State Clarity
Solar accounts for Barely 1% of all Electricity Generation
Adapting to the UK Energy Market as a Responsible & Reliable Large Electricit...EMEX
The UK energy landscape is rapidly changing and this change poses treats & opportunities for large multi-site electricity users, like Welsh Water. The session outlines what a not-for-profit water company is doing to ensure that its customers aren’t impacted by this changing landscape.

Brian Castelli, Executive VP of Programs and Development at the Alliance to Save Energy presented at the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Energy and Sustainability Conference. In his presentation Generating Energy Through Efficiency, he discussed the many ways in which the Commonwealth of Virginia can harness the economic and environmental benefits of energy efficiency – for example, through utility programs, public benefit funds and state-administered appliance standards, to name a few areas. Looking at the big picture, Virginia’s actions today could help strengthen tomorrow’s national plan for energy efficiency.

More than 40 leaders in industry, finance, research, and policy convened at La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif., to discuss critical issues and opportunities for the HVAC&R industry, including climate change, energy efficiency, refrigerants and pending federal legislation.
Speaking to participants of the Asia Pacific Research Center's Peer Review on Energy Efficiency, Castelli offered a status update on energy efficiency in the U.S., and the ways that energy efficiency programs are financed, monitored and measured there. After briefing the audience on the history of energy legislation in the U.S., Castelli introduced them to the energy efficiency provisions of the recently passed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
