The document provides guidance on using Twitter effectively for business purposes. It recommends that 20% or less of tweets should promote oneself, while 80% should add value to followers. It also describes different levels of Twitter engagement from one-way broadcasting to two-way long-term relationship building. Various strategies are presented for listening, talking, energizing, helping and embracing followers through Twitter.
This document analyzes engagement metrics for different social media platforms and provides recommendations to make social media strategies more effective. It finds that Facebook has the greatest engagement overall with high average likes, comments, shares, and reach of unpaid posts. Twitter has the weakest engagement in terms of likes, retweets and other metrics. YouTube sees moderate engagement levels. The document recommends focusing resources on Facebook and using quality content and viewer-catching titles/thumbnails on YouTube. It also suggests following a content calendar on Twitter and attracting a loyal following, especially for mornings, on Facebook. The document summarizes key findings from a study on the effectiveness of social media for churches. It finds that establishing an online presence and engaging communities on platforms like Facebook can help raise awareness and facilitate participation. However, many churches struggle with social media effectiveness due to lack of resources, unclear goals, and not tracking metrics. The document recommends that churches define an organizational purpose, identify skilled community members, allocate adequate resources, create tailored content, and focus on adding value for their online communities.

Luther Social Media Summit - Session 6: Social Media EffectivenessJustin Wise
The document discusses key findings from a study on the effectiveness of social media for churches. The most effective social media strategies for churches are engaging the online community to build awareness, traffic, and a sense of community. Content like multimedia, curated content, and information about events are most effective. Tracking engagement metrics and setting goals is important but often lacking. Resources need to be dedicated for social media to be successful.
Who are my Audiences? Evolution of Target Audiences in MicroblogsRuth Garcia Gavilanes
User behavior in online social media is not static, it evolves
through the years. In Twitter, we have witnessed a maturation of its platform and its users due to endogenous and exogenous reasons. While the research using Twitter data has expanded rapidly, little work has studied the change/evolution in the Twitter ecosystem itself. In this pa-
per, we use a taxonomy of the types of tweets posted by around 4M users during 10 weeks in 2011 and 2013. We classify users according to their tweeting behavior, and nd 5 clusters for which we can associate a different dominant tweeting type. Furthermore, we observe the evolution of
users across groups between 2011 and 2013 and interesting insights such as the decrease in conversations and increase in URLs sharing. Our findings suggest that mature users evolve to adopt Twitter as a news media rather than a social network.
Taking Your Social Media Presence to the Next LevelJustin Wise
The document discusses how churches can take their social media presence to the next level. It finds that church websites are important for many people in deciding which church to attend. Effective social media strategies for churches focus on awareness, community, and engagement. Churches need goals, audience research, and metrics to make social media effective. Resources, relevant content, and adding value are keys to success.
Mkt 666-x1165 group b campaign wrap up idividualLauren Coker
This document outlines a healthcare social media marketing campaign. It discusses objectives of increasing traffic, engagement and followers across key social media platforms. A blog was created with 10 posts on healthcare topics. Results showed traffic from Facebook and Twitter increased by over 1,000% and 3,000% respectively, while blog subscribers grew 15%. However, follower growth and engagement metrics like time on site were lower than targets. The campaign was successful quantitatively but requires a longer, more strategic approach to achieve business objectives.
facebook statistics 101 how to uncover the hidden gems within facebook insightMediabistro
This document provides an overview and analysis of key Facebook metrics and insights. It begins by debunking common Facebook myths. It then discusses the top 5 metrics to focus on: 1) Fan Reach, which indicates the quality of a fan base; 2) Engaged Users, who interacted with content; 3) Storytellers, who share content; 4) Clicks and CTR, which measure real engagement; and 5) Negative Feedback, which can hurt reach. It also recommends benchmarking against competitors' metrics. The key takeaways are to focus on fan reach, engaged users who interact, storytellers who share, providing clickable content, and addressing negative feedback.
Online conversations (and even offline ones) are, deep down, networks. But how to visualize network data so that they make sense to non-network scientists?
Presentation at the second CATALYST consortium meeting.
The document discusses two different social media strategies: peer-to-peer influencer strategy and content affinity strategy. The peer-to-peer strategy relies on a small number of well-known influencers to drive viral sharing, while the content affinity strategy relies on people choosing to associate with others who share similar interests, rather than directly influencing each other. The document provides tips on how to influence social behavior, such as making tasks motivating, simple with low barriers, repeatable, rewarding, and associated with existing habits.
90-9-1 Rule of Thumb - Fact or Fiction?Stan Garfield
The document discusses the 90-9-1 rule of thumb for participation in online communities, which suggests that 90% of members will not post or speak up at all, 9% will participate occasionally, and 1% will be very active regular contributors. However, several data sources presented in the document show participation levels are often lower than this, with some communities having 95-4-1 or even higher levels of inactivity. While the 90-9-1 rule is often cited, the document examines evidence that actual participation ratios vary widely and are often less equitable than this rule of thumb suggests.
This document provides guidance for DJs on using social media, particularly Facebook. It outlines reasons why social media is important, including Facebook's large user base and time spent on the platform. The document instructs DJs to build relationships with fans, set goals, be consistent, engage with listeners, and share great content while avoiding pushy or spammy posts. It provides tips on posting style and content ideas, and recommends stations post twice per shift, take turns posting, and check for duplicate content. The overall message is that social media can help DJs connect with listeners if used properly.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
Building RAG with self-deployed Milvus vector database and Snowpark Container...Zilliz
This talk will give hands-on advice on building RAG applications with an open-source Milvus database deployed as a docker container. We will also introduce the integration of Milvus with Snowpark Container Services.
