VISION REVISITED
RAISING THE JOHSUA GENERATION

2. Raising the Joshua Generation
• Generation means people of the same period, or living at the
same time. E.g. Millenials. Y2k
• All the people that were born about the same time.
• The average time in which children grow up, become adults and
have children of their own (usually considered to be 30 years)
• A group of people of similar age involved in a particular activity.

3. My Mission
• Deu_3:28 But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for
he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the
land which thou shalt see.
• Deu_31:23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong
and of good courage; for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land
which I swore unto them: and I will be with thee.
• Num_34:17 These are the names of the men that shall divide the land unto
you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

4. The Joshua Generation
• The beginning of a new era or dispensation
• The unstoppable generation. Joshua 1:5. I am
unstoppable.
• The crossover generation. Living in the realities of
(ALL) God’s promises.VS.2
• People bounded together by the same purpose.

•The courageous / fear-less generation.
•The obedient generation. Vs. 16
•The responsible generation. Vs. 17. Don’t
blame others for your issues

6. The Joshua Generation
• A Generation full of God’s word
• Generation of encouragers. Vs. 18. David, Nehemiah
• The prepared generation.
• Kings conquering ( demons conquering) generation
• Others-centred (selfless) generation

7. Joshua 1:1-18
• Crossing over is a divine command or call that requires our
obedience in order to enter our inheritance. It is divine
instruction that ushers one into the realm of fulfilment.
• Whenever God asks us to take a step of faith, He is leading us
to ‘cross over’ to a new measure of trust in him, we have never
had before.

8. The Two Cross Over
• Two generations crossed over; the Moses generation and the Joshua
generation.
• The Moses generation left Egypt –the house of bondage and crossed
the Red Sea, while the Joshua generation left the wilderness
(movement without progress /advancement) and crossed the Jordan
River.

9. My Mission at this Dispensation
• Leading God’s people to cross over to take over their
promised inheritance with the assistance of the
priests.
• Dividing the inheritance for the children of Israel.
• Num. 34:17; Josh. 14:1;19:51

10. Why do we need to cross over at
this point in time?
• Crossing over is a command and a divine instruction for a willing act
of obedience to follow God where He is leading us. Crossing over is a
divine command. If we don’t think it is a command, we will have a
careless attitude.
• Crossing over is the only way forward to the future. We cannot go
backwards and there is no turning back. If we don’t cross over we
don’t have future. If we don’t go forward we will go backward.
(Wilderness experience and House of Bondage-Egypt)

11. Reasons for Crossing Over
• Crossing over is the first step of entering what was promised. If we don’t
cross over, we have not taken even the first step. The journey of a thousand
miles begins with a first step. Some people don’t want to pay the price to take
the first step.
• Cross over is the final test before God release everything. Don’t fail or else we
would have to repeat the exam. If we obey we cross. When we cross over, it
will be more than what we have left behind.( supernatural meal & clothing)
• We must compete on the global level. We must be the best of the best. Even
when we are in Ibadan, we must not do business / ministry like local people
but we must be professional and compete in the global arena.

12. Reasons for Crossing over
• Cross over is a supernatural pathway and opportunity to touch what others
failed. The Moses generation failed to take their opportunity.
• Cross over is a military strategy and a military command.
When we cross over, there are many battles we will fight but in every battle we
will win. If God tells us to take the shoes off our feet, we take the shoes off our
feet. If God says don’t take anything, then don’t take anything. When we obey
God, we will win every battle. Every step will be a miracle. If we start a
business, we will prosper. Whatever we start to do we will prosper because we
follow Him. He will reward us and we will have no lack.

13. Crossing Over
• Cross over is for every generation and everybody in every generation
• All must cross over & be prepared (mentally, spiritually).
• All have different roles and responsibility; priests, Joshua, officers, etc.
• All must depend on one another; in a team when we run fast all must
run fast and at maximum capacity.( Together Everyone Achieves
More)
• All will be approved and honoured together; if we run relay and win,
all will receive the prize together. (Corporate approval & honour)

14. Reasons for Crossing Over
• All must wait for everyone to cross over; cell group / discipleship
will help everyone to cross over.
• All will enter into the Promised Land together. (Corporate
destination)
• All will have to follow the same command.
• All must submit to the same chain of authority.
• All those who crossed over are a part of a new generation.
