Copper Canyon Academy and four students were invited to a town council meeting to acknowledge their efforts in cleaning and beautifying a mile stretch of Highway 260 for over 12 years. The executive director of Copper Canyon Academy and one student spoke at the meeting about their organization's long-time work maintaining that stretch of highway, as well as the student's suggestion to improve recycling efforts to further help the environment. The mayor recognized Copper Canyon Academy's commitment to keeping the local highways clean and the town beautiful through community service.
