1. Radio advert proposal
The advert will take place during a BBQ gathering with
friends, by using this kind of setting it gives us a lot of
freedom to use a lot of different and unique sound effects,
which will hopefully make the advert stand out a bit more.
Some examples of the sound effects will include, the sizzling
of a grill, people laughing, talking, and just having a good
time. We will need to make it very obvious what we are
trying to advertise to people, by including the sound of the
fizz when a bottle is opened, and someone drinking the coke
and having a good time after they have drunk it.
The main concept of this advert will be that someone is
feeling left out at the BBQ when they are seeing all of their
friends having a good time, we will include a sighing sound
effect to show that they are feeling left out. After they have
opened and drank the coke they’ll say something along the
lines of “wow” which will be immediately followed up with a
group of people laughing along with the main character, this
will represent a confidence boost. With this concept we want
the advert to have a postitve message to it, we want the
people listening to feel good after they have listened to the
advert and they will hopefully be convinced to buy a coke
afterwards.
The way that the advert will open is with light jazz music in
the background and at about three seconds in the sound of
the grill will come in and then will hopefully smoothly
transition into the group of people who are laughing and
talking. By doing this we will put a clear image of what the
setting looks like in the listeners head, and they will
hopefully carry this image with them through the rest of the
run time for the advert.
