Oracle E-Business Suite is an integrated suite of applications for e-business consisting of financials, manufacturing, CRM, HRMS and supply chain modules. It uses a Oracle database and file system to store applications and data. The suite has HTML and forms interfaces and uses concurrent processing. It is installed using the Rapid Install component which automates installation of required technology stack components like the Oracle database.

These identifiers are used throughout Oracle Applications and are commonly used when referring to Oracle Applications products. Some example identifiers are shown on the slide.

Some products depend on components from other products, called dependent or shared products, for full functionality. The slide shows a simplified example of product dependencies: General Ledger (GL) depends on the Application Object Library (FND) and Oracle Receivables (AR). Inventory (INV) depends on FND and GL. Receivables (AR) depends on FND, INV, and GL.

You can use the Vision Demo as a testing and training environment.
