buff stand stone is the
highest tower in India. It
has a diameter of 14.32
m at the base and about
2.75 m on the top with a
height of 72.5 m.

projected balcony encircling the minar

are decorated with honey-comb design

Sultan Qutbuddin’s mosque ,
Quwwatul Islam or Might of
Islam, within the Qutub
complex, is the earliest extend
mosque in north India. Passing
through the main gateway, you
find yourself standing under an
intricately carved temple
ceiling with richly ornamented
pillars on the both sides.
8. The Iron Pillar bears a
Sanskrit inscription which
records that it was set up
as a dhuaja stambha
(flagpole) of a Vishnu
temple of the 4th
-5th
century AD.

structure to the north of
Qutb Minar, this is the
unfinished base of the
mammoth tower begun by
Alauddin Khilji and
intended to rival the size
of Qutb.

Citizens of India and visitors of SAARC (Bangladesh, Nepal,
Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives and Afghanistan) and
BIMSTEC Countries (Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka,
Thailand and Myanmar) - Rs. 10 per head.
Others: US $ 5 or Indian Rs. 250/- per head
(children up to 15 years free)

HOW TO REACH
Own Vehicle: The easiest way to reach there from India
Gate is to travel towards the outer ring road. Take the Ashoka
Road, and from Panchmukhi Chowk take the Man Singh Road.
Public Transport: There are special HOHO buses (Hop On
Hop Off service) for tourists. Other than that there are various
bus Routes that reach Mehrauli.

You can also avail the Delhi Metro to reach Qutub Minar. Take
the Yellow line to reach the Qutub Minar Station, it is only a
short walk from the station.
