1. Questionnaire Analysis
Below is the questionnaire we created, we used the results we received to
create the base for our main task in terms of location, genre, actors. It was sent
to 50 people anonymously and we gathered the results and created these bar
charts from the first 15 to reply. Below them are brief descriptions of what they
mean and how we would implement them into our opening to the film.
A) Male
B) Female
Our target audience is the ‘Male’ sector as they were most responsive and interested in comparison
to woman. We acted upon the results so designed the film towards that target audience.
A) 15-21
B) 22-25
C) 26-30
D) 30+
Our target age group is 15-21 year old as they were also most responsive out of the 50 showing
they are enthusiastic and up to date with the latest trends and movies.
2. A) Slough Highstreet
B) Burnham Park
C) Langley Road
D) Burnham Grammar School
E) Slough Trading Estate
F) Other
We then found that Slough Highstreet and the Trading Estate were the most suitable places for a
film which involved gangs so we decided to use both within our Main task.
A) Action
B) Gangster
C) Adventure
D) Horror
E) Comedy
F) Other
The most popular genre was ‘Gangster’ by a big amount so it was a definite that we would choose
this as our one to fill a demand. Its what the audience research suggested.
A) Hit n Run
B) Shotter
C) Hood Life
D) Wrong side of town
E) Other
3. The preferred name for a film was ‘Shotter’ and as this relates to someone selling drugs we decided
to use this as our one, it works well and is unique.
A) Gun
B) Money
C) Murder
D) Girls
E) Drugs
F) Other
The results show that ‘Drugs’ and ‘Money’ are most related to a film on gangs so we merged it in to
our film, it would be expected as the film was falling into place to be about a drug dealer.
A) Yes
B) No
As suggested from the response on this question we decided to involve a cliffhanger of some sort at
the end of the film, this is because our audience research told us it helps.
A) Yes
B) No
4. The question was very simple and as it shows we decided not to sue black and white filming as it
was not something the audience wanted.
A) 1
B) 2
C) 3
D) 4
E) 5+
We kept the actors to a minimal as possible as we had very short time and wanted to keep it short
and sweet, this was more effective so we decided to use 3 actors as research suggested.
A) kidulthood
B) Shank
C) Green Street
D) 51st State
E) Other
The best ‘gang films’ identified out of the 4 was ‘Shank’ which has a very street edge to it with it
being modern and about gangs in London, we tried to keep the same effect by using the same
clothing and music in background which would be related to ‘gangs’.
