2. AUDIENCE PROFILING
Is a task taken to identify and connect the new product to the target audience. This
would include the following factors:

Race Caucasian, Black & Asian
Sexuality Heterosexual
Education/Occupation Middle class working parents
Annual income C1 - E
Lifestyle Western
Culture Social living (wine bars, theatre, restaurants,
bingo)
Media interests Crime shows (CSI, Crime Watch)
Loyalty Habits Nike, Vans, Ray bans, Lacoste, Lonsdale
3. DEMOGRAPHICS
Media companies like to know profiles of there audience so they know who
there target audiences and how to best target and advertise the new product
towards them
4. Many companies will categories there audience under the headings of
demographic and psychographics these titles are subheadings that individuals
will fall into. This is a way of them describing and categorizing the audiences
behavior and personality traits
5. DEMOGRAPHICS
For our product in particular we said that our audience demographics would
range from B - E we chose this wide range as we felt it covered those who
would be interested from single parents on a low income all the way to those
who are teachers and and those who are within the creative and media
industry.
6. PSYCHOGRAPHICS
We said that a lot of our audience will come from the main stream category as
this is what most people in society is and targets these with families which is
our main target parents as the would be able to relate.
A few would also come from the category of strugglers and reformers this
audience is aware of what happens within the world could possibly relate in
the alienation side. Also they would have a lot of time on their hands as they
hardly work and compliments the single parent and low income category.
