This document describes an ethical dilemma faced by the author regarding an unethical assistant manager at their store. The assistant manager, Matt McCormick, was leaving the store with associates and taking team members to bars and strip clubs. He was also gone from the store for hours without explanation and there were reports of sexual favors from female associates. The author gathered facts and identified their options to either report the manager's behavior or not. They determined that reporting him was the legal, right, and beneficial option. The author then contacted the district HR manager who investigated and ultimately terminated the assistant manager.
