The document discusses Romans 12:1-2 and living according to God's will. It says we should offer our bodies as living sacrifices and not conform to the patterns of the world. It also discusses renewing our minds, God's good, pleasing and perfect will, and being transformed. The document notes that doing God's will leads to his plans to prosper us, perfect peace, and the fruits of the spirit like love, joy and peace.
This document discusses the importance of purity of heart and seeing God. It explains that purity of heart means having a single-minded devotion to God without hypocrisy or divided allegiance. While purity is impossible for humans to achieve on their own, it can be attained through faith in Jesus Christ, who purifies our hearts and enables us to see God. The document emphasizes that true purity comes from within, not just external actions, and requires cleansing both our hands and hearts through drawing near to God with our whole selves.
The document discusses the importance of searching the scriptures to find truth, searching yourself through self-examination, searching for an honest man of integrity, searching to understand God and his divine nature through his creation, and searching for Jesus Christ as the Messiah through carefully examining prophecies and following those who bear witness to him. The key message is that the search should continue through diligently studying the scriptures, continual self-reflection, seeking people of virtue, contemplating God in nature, and following those who point to Christ.
This document discusses the importance of strong, humble service. It begins by examining Jesus washing his disciples' feet, demonstrating humility and service. It then discusses finding what you are good at and using those skills to serve God and others. The story of Dorcas is provided as an example of someone who served through acts of charity. Finally, it encourages consecrated service as priests to God, worshipping him through leading others to worship. Strong service comes from living as royalty in God's kingdom and being ambassadors who implement his agenda.
This document contains excerpts from the book of Romans in the Bible. It discusses several key themes: that righteousness comes through faith in God and not works; that though all have sinned, believers are justified by God's grace through faith in Jesus; and that believers now have redemption and are no longer condemned due to being reconciled with God through Jesus' death and resurrection. It encourages enduring faith during suffering, and serving others rather than selfishness.

Discipleship involves learning Christ's teachings, internalizing his virtues, and acting upon them. True discipleship focuses on gaining Christ's virtues like love, justice, and righteousness, which leads to humility and dependence on God. It involves submitting to Christ's lordship to make his heart, house, and hope our own. When we do this, God causes our desire, dependents, and development to flourishly grow like a tree planted by streams of water.

Sermon by: Brian Birdow
The document describes visions received about three faces appearing on the New Jersey coastline overlooking Delaware, representing God watching over the land and people. It discusses how God sees and hears the cries of prisoners and those appointed to death, and will respond to the prayers of Delaware seeking His presence. The vision of a foot about to step on Delaware foretells an imminent visitation from God to transform hearts. The land of Delaware is described as being ready for a powerful visitation and experience of God's presence before end times.
This document contrasts the righteousness of man versus the righteousness of God through examining the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. In the parable, a Pharisee thanks God that he follows the law strictly, while a tax collector humbly asks God for mercy. Though the tax collector was considered sinful, Jesus says he was justified, while the self-righteous Pharisee was not. The document emphasizes that God desires mercy over sacrifice and saves those who know they need Him, not the self-righteous who think they can save themselves.
The document discusses the holiness of God and how believers can achieve holiness through the power of the Holy Spirit. It provides several Bible verses that emphasize God's holy nature and call for believers to be holy as well. The document explains that holiness involves being more like Jesus in character each day by spending time in prayer, studying God's word, and relying on the Holy Spirit to transform one's nature and guide them to love God and reject sin. True holiness is a process that occurs over one's entire lifetime as the Spirit sanctifies them.
God is the perfect, holy and righteous judge. As judge, He created the world and humanity, which were originally good, but also gave the perfect law which people are unable to keep due to human weakness. While deserving wrath for disobedience, God is gracious and patient, choosing to show mercy to believers. As the perfect creator and judge, humans are in no position to question God or His actions, which are always just and for His good purposes.
This passage from 1 Corinthians discusses how Christians are like the different parts of a body, with Christ as the head. While members have different gifts and roles, they are all interconnected. No one part is more important than another. The Spirit has placed each person in the body as God desired, and all parts should support each other so the body functions as a unified whole, without division or jealousy.
The document discusses the roles of priests in ministering before God. Faithful priests like Zadok were allowed to minister in the outer court, holy place, and holy of holies. In contrast, unfaithful priests like Eli and Abiathar were confined to the outer court only. True worship requires living a holy life and being vessels prepared for noble purposes. Proper order is needed when carrying God's presence, as the faithful priests will one day see God face to face in heaven.
Does God's grace end at the cross? Was the offer of salvation all there is to God's goodness? May it never be. God continues watching over his people and pouring out blessings on them. The challenge for Christians today is to recognize those blessings--and to appreciate them.

This prayer seeks to cleanse oneself of sin and evil influences through invoking protection from Jesus, forgiveness from God, and guidance from the Holy Spirit. It asks God to reveal any areas requiring forgiveness or unconfessed sin. It calls on Jesus to cover the person in his blood and cleanse them. It breaks curses and seals placed by Satan. It requests protection, freedom from evil spirits, and filling with virtues like love and mercy. The overall aim is spiritual cleansing, protection, and empowerment through Christian principles.
1. Paul discusses the different gifts and roles within the church body, noting that while gifts differ, it is the same Spirit and God who empowers them all for the common good.
2. He explains that just as a human body has many parts working interdependently, so too the church body has different members with different functions but all working together under Christ with the unifying Spirit.
3. Paul emphasizes that all parts are valuable and necessary for the proper functioning of the whole body, and that members should care for one another across differences in gifts or roles.
The document announces a "Year of Faith" from October 2012 to November 2013 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council. It encourages all Catholics to strengthen their faith by professing their belief in the risen Lord in churches and homes. The document outlines some key aspects of the Catholic faith, including that Jesus Christ is the center and fulfillment of faith and scripture. It also discusses the Beatitudes as the heart of Jesus' preaching, which take up God's promises to Abraham and purify our hearts to seek God's love above all else.
This document appears to be a Jeopardy-style game about the Priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It includes questions about who can hold the Priesthood, how men receive it, where the authority comes from, sacred ordinances performed by Priesthood holders, how Priesthood holders should preside, and blessings for righteous Priesthood holders.
This document provides an overview and summary of key aspects of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount from the Gospel of Matthew. It discusses how the sermon outlines the character and values of the Kingdom of God, including the Beatitudes which describe the inward attitudes of Jesus' disciples as the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, and those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. It also notes that true disciples are those whose character has been shaped and conduct changed by following Jesus, not just those who claim to follow him.

It encourages turning from one's own way and fully submitting to God, as His Spirit will then live within and protect. The highest purpose is to seek God with all one's heart through studying His word.
The document provides guidance on how to know God through complete submission and obedience to Him. It asserts that truly knowing God through trusting submission is life's most important experience. God reveals Himself to those who sincerely seek Him with their whole heart. To know God, one must turn from their own ways and fully submit to God, trusting His promises and following His commands. God wants fellowship with those who belong to Him.
This document discusses how Christ came to break every chain of sin and bondage. It explains that departure from God's word leads to abuse of freedom and bondage to sin. But in Christ, we can find freedom from sins of the flesh, works of the devil, and have power over sin. The anchor for our souls is found in Christ, who was manifest in the flesh to redeem and deliver us from sin and its power.
This document discusses the importance of praise, worship, and serving God willingly rather than being compelled. It encourages offering praise to God continually through song, prayer, and thanksgiving. It also emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation within the church, working together as one body to accomplish God's will rather than competing against each other.
The document contains lyrics from various Christian worship songs praising God. The songs celebrate God's goodness, mercy, grace, faithfulness and glory. They express devotion to loving and serving God with all one's heart, soul, mind and strength. The lyrics declare that God's grace is enough and call believers to be living sanctuaries for God.
The document contains lyrics and passages from the Bible praising God and calling upon him. It discusses trusting in God's salvation, wisdom, power and love. It expresses finding relief from God in times of distress. It includes the Lord's Prayer, Apostles' Creed, and a benediction asking God to be with the reader until they meet again in heaven.
This bulletin summarizes the order of service for Grace Heritage Church on November 9, 2014. The gathering includes singing praise to God from Psalm 113, announcements about the church leadership and upcoming events. The sermon is based on 2 Corinthians 5:11ff and focuses on reflecting on and responding to God's word. The service concludes with a benediction sending the congregation to live for God.
David calls out to God in prayer, asking Him not to be deaf to his cries for help. He asks God not to drag him away with the wicked. David praises God for hearing his supplications and being his strength, and promises to thank Him with songs of praise. He requests that God save His people and bless His inheritance by being their shepherd forever.
This document contains the church covenant for Gospel Baptist Tabernacle in Rossville, GA. It outlines the commitments members make to the church, including engaging in Christian love, regularly financially supporting the church and its ministries, maintaining devotions, and watching over one another. All principles are supported by verses to uphold doctrines, ordinances, worship, and further God's kingdom through the local church. The covenant aims to strengthen the church and its members through mutual care, prayer, and accountability.
Bishop Felix Orji discusses the importance of evangelism as the fundamental mission of the church according to the Great Commission. He defines evangelism and outlines the message of evangelism, which includes explaining that all are sinners deserving of God's wrath but that God offers forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ. The bishop also discusses various methods for evangelism and emphasizes the importance of following up with new Christians to incorporate them into the church community.
The document contains a prayer list, including for the family of Ziang Ke, Somalia, and others. It also discusses commitment to scripture, describing what it means to accept the Bible as God's word and let it transform one's life. Several passages from Psalm 119 are provided that praise God's word and express a desire to meditate on and follow God's decrees.
The document discusses affections and how they should be directed. It says affections should be supremely set on God and also set on following God's commandments, worshipping God, loving God's people, and pursuing heavenly things. Affections should be zealously engaged for God and Christ should have first place. Making God the object of one's affections brings blessedness. True affection for God will not grow cold like it can for the wicked, whose affections are not sincerely set on God. Carnal affections must be mortified while saints have crucified fleshly affections. False teachers try to captivate people through their affections, while the wicked have unnatural and perverted affections.
Part three in the series on Spiritual Gifts. Taken from Roman 12. Consecration Theology and Gift Theology. This is often referred to as Creational gifts for God as our father.
This document discusses the importance of trusting God as the Creator rather than creations. It emphasizes that people get into trouble when they become self-reliant, prideful, and unfaithful instead of acknowledging God. It encourages readers to present themselves as living sacrifices to God and to not conform to the world but renew their minds. The document stresses that actions should demonstrate faith in God rather than people or things and that readers must maintain fidelity to God and not let sin come between their relationship with Him.
Light of the world is a sermon on the I AM statements of JesusEd Sullivan
1. Jesus declares himself to be the light of the world, angering the Pharisees. He claims his testimony is true because he knows where he came from and is going, unlike them.
2. When the Jews question his identity, Jesus reveals he is from above and they are from below, and unless they believe he is the "I am", they will die in their sins.
3. After further disputes over faith and works, Jesus declares the Jews' true father is the devil because they do not accept his word and instead seek to kill him for telling them the truth from God. In the climax, Jesus declares before Abraham was, "I am", deeply angering the Jews who try
Bread Of Life. The first in a series on the "I AM" sayings of Jesus Christ.Ed Sullivan
The document discusses Jesus' declaration that he is the "bread of life" from the gospel of John chapter 6. It provides context that Jesus said this after feeding a large crowd with just a few loaves of bread and fish. Jesus states that whoever believes in him will never hunger or thirst. The Jews question this because they know Jesus' family, but he emphasizes that God has sent him. Jesus doubles down that one must eat his flesh and drink his blood to have eternal life, which confuses and offends many of his disciples.
More Than- a teaching on John 3:1-21 when Nicodemus came to JesusEd Sullivan
1. Nicodemus visits Jesus at night to learn from him as a rabbi. Jesus tells him that one must be born again of water and spirit to enter God's kingdom.
2. Jesus compares being born again to the Israelites' passage through the Red Sea and Moses lifting up the bronze serpent to cure snake bites, foreshadowing his death on the cross.
3. God sent his son Jesus not to condemn the world but to save it, and whoever believes in him will have eternal life rather than perish. However, those who do evil hate the light of truth.
1. John the Baptist was a prophet sent by God to prepare the way for Jesus and testify about the coming Messiah. He baptized with water and preached repentance.
2. When questioned about his identity, John the Baptist denied being the Christ or Elijah, but said he was the voice crying out in the wilderness as prophesied by Isaiah.
3. John the Baptist testified that Jesus was the Son of God and Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, having seen the Spirit descend upon him at his baptism. His role was to decrease as Jesus' influence increased.
The Word existed eternally with God and was God. All things were created through the Word. The Word became flesh as Jesus Christ and dwelt among humanity. Some received him and believed in his name, becoming children of God through faith rather than physical descent. The law was given through Moses but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ, who revealed the fullness of God.
This document provides an overview of John 20:19-23, which describes Jesus appearing to his disciples after his resurrection and commissioning them. The key points are:
1. Jesus appears to the disciples and shows them his wounds, proving he has been resurrected. He commissions them to continue his work and forgives their sins.
2. Jesus then breathes on the disciples and says "Receive the Holy Spirit," giving them power to forgive sins just as he does.
3. The passage establishes that Jesus is sending the disciples out as he was sent, and that through the church, believers have the authority and responsibility to forgive sins as part of their commission to spread the gospel.
Jesus appeared to his disciples over 40 days after his resurrection and commanded them to remain in Jerusalem to receive power from the Holy Spirit. Jesus told them they would receive power and become his witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. As they watched, Jesus was taken up into heaven. Two men told the disciples that Jesus would return in the same way they saw him leave.
The document provides a guide for Spiritual Emphasis Month activities at Family Christian Center in January 2024. It encourages daily challenges like prayer, Bible reading, fasting and inviting others to church. There is a Bible reading challenge to read the Gospel of John in the month. Members are asked to fast and pray on Fridays and participate in weekly discipleship and prayer meetings. The goal is to draw closer to God through spiritual disciplines and community during the month.
While shepherds watched their flocks at night, an angel appeared to them and announced the birth of Jesus. The angel was accompanied by a multitude of other angels praising God. The shepherds went to Bethlehem and found Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus lying in a manger just as the angel had said. Upon seeing the baby, the shepherds spread the word of his birth to all they met.
The document describes the incarnation of Jesus Christ through the story of Joseph and Mary in the Gospel of Matthew. It then summarizes the key points about Joseph as a just man who obeyed God, and Mary as the chosen mother who said yes to God's call. Finally, it analyzes the passage in Colossians 1:15-20 which describes Jesus as the image of God, the creator and sustainer of all things, the head of the Church, and the fullness of God dwelling in him to reconcile all things.
The document discusses walking in maturity according to Galatians 5-6. It provides guidance on how to address wrongs committed by others with gentleness, the importance of self-examination to avoid temptation, bearing one another's burdens while also being responsible for our own actions. It emphasizes doing good works, especially to fellow Christians, and warns that what we sow through our actions is what we will reap, either corruption or eternal life.
The document discusses walking by the Spirit according to Galatians 5:16-26. It describes how the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, listing works of the flesh like sexual immorality and idolatry. It emphasizes that practicing such things will prevent inheriting God's kingdom. However, the fruit of the Spirit includes love, joy and self-control. It encourages living by the Spirit through crucifying fleshly desires and keeping in step with the Spirit.
1. Paul warns the Galatians that accepting circumcision means rejecting Christ and falling from grace, as it submits them to keeping the whole law.
2. He emphasizes that neither circumcision nor uncircumcision matter, but only faith working through love. Those trying to persuade the Galatians away from faith are hindering them.
3. Paul uses several metaphors - running a race, leaven in dough, courtroom trial - to urge the Galatians to remain steadfast in their faith and not be misled, and to preserve unity among themselves through love rather than "biting and devouring" one another.
The document discusses two covenants that are represented by Abraham's two wives - Hagar and Sarah. Hagar represents the covenant under the law given at Mount Sinai that leads to slavery. Sarah represents the covenant of promise that leads to freedom through Christ. The author argues that just as Isaac was born of the free woman Sarah, Christians are children of the promise born of Sarah, not of slavery under the law. Believers are called to stand firm in their freedom in Christ and not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
1. The passage discusses Paul's concern that the Galatians are returning to observance of the Law and Jewish customs instead of relying on their faith in Christ.
2. Paul argues that through faith in Christ, believers are no longer under guardians and managers like the Law, but are sons of God.
3. He pleads with the Galatians not to turn back to following weak and worthless principles of the world, and instead to fully embrace their identity in Christ.
1. The document discusses Paul's letter to the Galatians explaining that God's promise to Abraham through Jesus Christ cannot be added to or altered, just as a legal covenant cannot be changed once ratified.
2. It notes that the promise was specifically made to Abraham's offspring, which is Christ, and the Mosaic law that came later was meant as a temporary guardian or guide until Christ.
3. With the coming of faith in Christ, believers are no longer bound to the law but are all sons of God, having been baptized into Christ and being heirs according to God's promise to Abraham.
The document discusses Paul's letter to the Galatians chapters 3:10-14. It summarizes that the law places all people under a curse for not keeping all its commands perfectly. However, no one is justified by the law but only through faith, as demonstrated by Abraham's righteousness coming from faith, not works. Christ redeems people from the law's curse by becoming cursed on the cross, so that Gentiles can receive the Spirit's blessing originally promised to Abraham, through faith rather than the law.
Paul rebukes the Galatians for abandoning faith in Christ in favor of following the Law, calling them "foolish" and asking who had "bewitched" them. He reminds them that they received the Holy Spirit through faith in Christ, not works, and cites Abraham's faith being "reckoned as righteousness" to demonstrate that true sons of Abraham are those of faith, not works. Paul concludes that all who have faith, both Jews and Gentiles, are blessed along with Abraham.
Paul confronted Peter for separating himself from Gentile believers out of fear of criticism. Paul argued that justification comes through faith in Christ, not works of the law. Paul explained that through dying with Christ to the law, believers can now live for God identified with Christ living in them through faith. Justification is not by works of the law, otherwise Christ's death would be unnecessary.
Paul wrote to the churches in Galatia to warn them against following those who preached a false gospel of works-righteousness through obeying the Jewish Law in addition to faith in Christ. Paul established that he received the true gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus alone directly by revelation from God, not from any human source. He confronted Peter for withdrawing from table fellowship with Gentile believers out of fear of critics from Jerusalem, reminding him that justification comes solely through faith in Christ, not works of the Law.

A375 Example Taste the taste of the Lord, the taste of the Lord The taste of...franktsao4
It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

Quality Assurance Psalm 26
1.
2. Psalm 26
A Psalm of David.
Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my
integrity, And I have trusted in the LORD
without wavering. Examine me, O LORD, and
try me; Test my mind and my heart. For Your
lovingkindness is before my eyes, And I have
walked in Your truth. I do not sit with
deceitful men, Nor will I go with pretenders. I
hate the assembly of evildoers, And I will not
sit with the wicked.
3. I shall wash my hands in innocence, And I will
go about Your altar, O LORD, That I may
proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving And
declare all Your wonders. O LORD, I love the
habitation of Your house And the place where
Your glory dwells. Do not take my soul away
along with sinners, Nor my life with men of
bloodshed, In whose hands is a wicked
scheme, And whose right hand is full of
bribes. But as for me, I shall walk in my
integrity; Redeem me, and be gracious to me.
My foot stands on a level place; In the
congregations I shall bless the LORD.

17. The reward of integrity
*Great benefit being together
*Experiencing the blessing of His presence
Consistent walk each day
18. Great benefit
being together
Let us hold fast the confession
of our hope without wavering,
for He who promised is faithful;
and let us consider how to
stimulate one another to love
and good deeds, not forsaking
our own assembling together,
as is the habit of some, but
encouraging one another; and
all the more as you see the day
drawing near.
Hebrews 10:23–25
Temple assembly, worshippers gather,
one mind one heart, God’s presence is
there. Sing together, pray together, be
encouraged together, the group
experience of being part of the royal
priesthood, the holy nation
19. Experiencing the blessing of His presence

three have gathered
together in My
name, I am there in
their midst.
Matthew 18:20
And when the day of
Pentecost was fully
come, they were all
with one accord in one
place. And suddenly
there came a sound
from heaven as of a
rushing mighty wind,
and it filled all the
house where they were
sitting.
Acts 2:1–2 KJV
20. Consistent walk each day
…be filled with the
knowledge of His will in
all spiritual wisdom and
understanding, so that
you will walk in a
manner worthy of the
Lord, to please Him in
all respects, bearing
fruit in every good work
and increasing in the
knowledge of God;
