Juliet Kosarzycki has a long history of volunteer work in various cities throughout the country and with the Peace Corps. She has now returned to Manitowoc, Wisconsin to care for her mother and remains actively involved in numerous local organizations. Quality Mail Marketing, located in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, has grown from a small packaging business into a full-service mailing and fulfillment center over 30 years, thanks to dedicated employees and expanding services. The company works with both large nationwide clients as well as smaller local businesses. Owners Jan Hermes and Janel Cody credit their loyal employees for the company's success but plan to eventually sell the business while ensuring good treatment of the staff.

A guide to regional nonprofit organizations. Sold as a marketing tool for local nonprofits to attract donations and funders. I was responsible for arranging the entire publication and reaching out to all organizations to aggregate information and media assets. I then formatted, edited, and rewrote content as needed to fit the general editorial vision.

in Kaukauna. After a few years, they moved to
another building on Crooks Avenue. In 1996,
they built their current facility on Badger Road
in Kaukauna. It has 50,000 square feet and
was designed to accommodate their growing
business. It has seen one expansion since then.
Their list of services today include pick/pack
services, online ordering, inkjetting/printing,
warehouse from vendors, receiving from
vendors, collating and assembly, polybagging,
inventory control and management, tabbing,
labeling and sorting, managing company stores
and e-commerce, management of promotional
offers, and call-center customer service.
They work closely with the U.S. Postal
Service, FedEx, UPS and other shipping and
delivery services, Hermes said. "These are all
good partnerships," she added.
The owners are grateful to their long-term
customers, some of whom are large companies
that helped Q M M weather the turbulent
economic times in 2007-2008. "But the small
companies are just as important to us," Cody
said.
Some of the bigger customers include
Kimberly-Clark, which has been with them for
nearly 25 years, JJ Keller which has used Q M M
for 20 years, Thrivent, School Speciality, Bel
brand (formerly Kaukauna Cheese) and the City
of Kaukauna.
Miller Electric is a more recent addition.
QMM handles its rebate program.
Another newer customer is EFI, a company
headquartered in Westborough, Mass.,
specializing in resource-conserving products.
QMM employees box up items, such as energy-
efficient lightbulbs, and send them out to other
regions in the U.S. "Because we are a central
location for their mailing, they are able to cut
their postage costs almost in half," Hermes said.
Some businesses have monthly mailings;
others are quarterly, semi-annual or yearly.
"We keep evolving," Hermes said. "People
ask, 'Can you do this or that?' I f we can do it,
we do."
"It amazes me daily the amount of work our
people get done," Cody said.
"At the same time, we don't take work that
we can't accomplish," Hermes added.
