Who would be my target audience for my media product?
We define our viewer as.. You buy your groceries in Waitrose. What suits you is more important than what's in fashion. You’d rather visit the theatre than the cinema You’d rather read the paper than watch the news. You celebrate your birthday at a restaurant rather than a pub. You listen to the classics, instead of the stuff on the charts.
Psychographics These are the psychographs we aim for.. Succeeders: People who are successful and self confident. They tend not to buy aspirational products and follow they own ideas of what is a good product. Reformers: Creative, caring, altruistic, not brand conscious. We want to avoid the mainstream as they might not understand our product.
General segmentation Age: 18-60 would enjoy and comprehend our product. Gender:  None purposely targeted, however men might relate to the character more. Social values: Post-modernists, a movement away from the viewpoint of modernism.
Jicnars Scale Jicnars scale A Higher managerial, administrative or professional B Intermediate managerial, administrative and professional C1 Supervisory, clerical, junior administrative or professional C2 Skilled manual workers D Semi and unskilled manual workers E State pensioners, widows, lowest grade workers.  According to the Jicnars scale our target audience would beHigher managerial, administrative or professional or Intermediate managerial, administrative and professionals.  This is because we have produced a independent film and these segments are more likely to view it
